dandannieldanok Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 I acknowledge that Stringer is a Broadcaster and is trying to raise his profile. Fair enough but he'll have to try harder than this to raise his profile, countless tweets whipping up intrigue about an insignificant loan move, yet nothing about Andy King when it's quite clear something major has/nearly happened.

davieG Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Maybe Stringer thought it was going to be King leaving if it was so close to being true just a thought.
The Stig Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 I've done some work for BBC Leicester and met Stringer and have to say he seemed pleasant enough.
BoneDog Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 It's only football at the end of the day True, I do let it affect me more than I should. If it weren't for football my blood pressure would be alot better!
Matt Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Maybe Stringer thought it was going to be King leaving if it was so close to being true just a thought. I thought this when the King thread popped up. Personally I think Stringer is OK, not really got a problem with him but I must say when I read this, and first thought/it turned out to be Adams going to Leyton Orient I was a tad pissed off (At the same time relieved it wasn't Maxi going permanent or someone else, unless it was Dickov).
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 True, I do let it affect me more than I should. If it weren't for football my blood pressure would be alot better! This. But I'd argue its more than a game.
The Doctor Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 This. But I'd argue its more than a game. Bill Shankly. "football isn't a matter of life and death. It's much more important than that".
jonthefox Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 He fucked my wife up the arse. i thought i was on my own with that one..
lou Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 I suppose I should be grateful... it could have been one of our top players going. This is what we should be thinking! Maybe Stringer thought it was going to be King leaving if it was so close to being true just a thought. I thought that but then again he said it was a loan from very early this morning so I dont think it was the King saga he meant. I still love the Stringer.
Daggers Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 i thought i was on my own with that one.. Sorry to break it to you. If it helps, you appear to have taken it better than the previous seventeen, so far...
Shrenchel Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Took it better than this geezer anyway... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showb...r-Love-rat.html
Salieri Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Speaks volumes about the inactivity during the transfer window (thus far) when Adams joining Orient on loan generates such interest!
lou Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Speaks volumes about the inactivity during the transfer window (thus far) when Adams joining Orient on loan generates such interest! It doesnt! Its Stringer tweeting something about a player leaving the club that generates such interest
Salieri Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 It doesnt! Its Stringer tweeting something about a player leaving the club that generates such interest I see, couldnt be arsed to read the thread....
lou Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 I see, couldnt be arsed to read the thread.... Probably a wise move!
MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2010 Posted 19 January 2010 Adams in the starting eleven for Orient tonight and... judging by the BBC Sports coverage, he's virtually everywhere and the provider for the assist on Leyton's first goal.

Doesn't surprise me. He's another who's had the DJ-type treatment at Leicester and never the semblance of a proper chance either to establish his place or to be a valuable member of the squad. I could perhaps understand it in both cases were we rampant as an attacking force but we're not and never really have been either under Pearson or other recent managers.

There have been times over the course of the season where a little bit of bite similar to that provided by players like Tevez, Lennon and Wright-Philips, wouldn't have gone amiss. I'm not saying that Adams is of a similar calibre to these but like Gradel, he chases the ball down ferociously and when in possession attacks defenders. Bringing on Gallagher or Kermo/Howard in the remaining third isn't going to add anything. Nobody, apart from Dyer who is hugely hit and miss, in the current starting 11 runs at players enough to cause defences problems. You can't expect to penetrate the opponents with defence splitting passes every game. Your not going to cause wing backs any problems if you have a slow centre midfielder on the wing. You have to utilise the pace of the available wingers, but I only believe that Pearson isn't doing this because the wing backs lack pace and if he did, we would get caught on the break too easily. I know they're not easy to find but we desperately need players like Shorey, Mattock, Stearman. Without these we will not progress.

CosbehFox Posted 20 January 2010 Posted 20 January 2010 Reading Orients forum, he had a good game and 'could cross a ball'.

foxoffderby Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 Nicky Adams has been recalled by city. Loan has been ended.
MikeyT Posted 15 February 2010 Posted 15 February 2010 From SSN Website. Leicester have recalled winger Nicky Adams from his loan spell at Leyton Orient. The 23-year-old impressed at Leyton Orient, starting all six games during his month-long stay. Adams' arrival coincided with Orient's recent upturn in form but although boss Geraint Williams was eager to keep the player, the Foxes have opted to recall him. "Nicky has been fantastic and he's enjoyed his time down here," said Williams. "He wanted to stay and we wanted him to stay but Leicester, as is their right, wanted to recall him." Meanwhile, Matthew Briggs has also ended his loan stint at Brisbane Road going back to Fulham after making one appearance for Orient in the win over Yeovil.
