davieG Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 the team wudnt lose the final on purpose coz they wud want to get promoted any ideas of players to buy if we did get promoted? Stop writing in text talk - http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?act=boardrules
Edwards-lcfcfan Posted 3 February 2010 Author Posted 3 February 2010 haha i mean realistically i'd think senderos hed get on great with bruno
dandannieldanok Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 John Terry and Wayne Bridge would be good signings.
Dylan Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Well promotion would give us some money. Also, for people saying we'd come down straight away, thats what people would've though about clubs like Hull, Stoke, Birmingham.
lovelcfc Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Even if we did our current squad isnt good enough, we'd get our arses kicked in the premiership. We need another season to sort ourselves out really. I agree with you
Collymore Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 If we went up and came straight back down again chances are their wouldnt be a Leicester City any more. I'm sorry, I can't take this subject seriously. Anyone who thinks promotion would be a bad thing needs their head looking at IMO.
MrSpaM Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 I'm sorry, I can't take this subject seriously. Anyone who thinks promotion would be a bad thing needs their head looking at IMO. We'll blame it all on you when we all have to become Hinkley supporters then. Anyone who's so disillusioned that they think our current squad would be competative in the premiership cant be taken seriously either. If we got promoted do you really think we'd have any money to strenghen the squad?

MC Prussian Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Promotion. Evil word, that. Evil. We're doomed now. Doomed.
StanSP Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Promotion.Evil word, that. Evil. We're doomed now. Doomed. It is, isn't it? Hate that word. Hate it.

If we got promoted do you really think we'd have any money to strenghen the squad? that depends on milan - we'd get a fair bit in tv rights etc. but it then depends on whether milan invests that on new players on the high wage, long term contracts they'll demand or whether he uses it to lower the debt/buy the stadium.

Thank god the likes of you are not in charge of the club.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Haha this is such a sarcy thread It might not be the best thing for us in the long term if we go up this year but I still want a promotion party...& then I want to win the premiership next year Won't happen but I want it to!!!
Edwards-lcfcfan Posted 3 February 2010 Author Posted 3 February 2010 who cares that im 16, as long as i support leicester as much as the next man and i would love it they got promoted and it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world
The Doctor Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Stop teasing the children. <_< wrong thread. only one person has made an age based joke. You want the "milan hates families" thread.
Chrysalis Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 in theory we could get promoted, do no investment in the team and the club will wipe out the majority of its debts from the promotion, of course we would be slaughtered in games tho. In reality milan would probably give pearson a modest budget and then pocket the rest himself.
turkish14 Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Who thinks we'll get promoted this season?? Via the playoffs maybe, if we get constitent results well get in the playoffs but what do you think Yeah thats true, if we win constitently we might get in the playoffs. Never really thought about it like that before. ye its beating the teams that are there is the hard thingits true that we wud get our arsed kicked in the premier league also need new investment i can see fryatt doin alright in the premier league Yeah that's true, sometimes I feel like beating the other teams is almost the most difficult thing about football. not laughed as much as i just have reading shrenchel's replies
Rich Fox Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 We would not survive in the prem with this side but maybe someone would invest heavily in the summer if were promoted so then we would have a good chance of staying up surely. It may not work slowly building a team in the championship as we never seem to bring any quality through the youth team dont know why other clubs bring quality players through and dont anyone come back to me and say joe mattock or stearman im talking real quality.
marbelladave Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 not laughed as much as i just have reading shrenchel's replies Post modern irony..... Except it's not modern...... .........or irony. But it is a post!...... and edward is only 16 lucky bastard......... (Punctuation and capitals removed so as not to upset the under aged!)
DanTheFox07 Posted 4 February 2010 Posted 4 February 2010 too soon for us to get promoted would come back down again, however its a money game so a season in premiership would be good for the club in that respect.

Fatbloke Posted 4 February 2010 Posted 4 February 2010 Back to the question, going back to being a yo yo club COULD be a very good thing for LCFC and for us, we all know the massive rewards that getting to the promised land brings and IF the club is sensible with that pot of gold and gives it a right good go at staying there and fails we`ll still have plenty of that dosh in the coffers, add to that the nice big fat parachute payment and we`re very well equipped to take this league by storm, up we go again and the whole cycle begins again, in time the pot gets big enough to start investing propper money on players when we are up there and we can start planning for mid table mediocrity in the Premiership.
