Guest Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 I see that Grayson has dropped him because he hasn't scored in 5 games (despite 27 this year) and the crowd are booing him. We were interested in him last season, should we renew that interest in the close season?
FoxyPV Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 No, the guy's a tool and disrupts the changing room. He reminds me of DJ and look how Pearson has treated him.
breadandcheesebrother Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 No, the guy's a tool and disrupts the changing room. He reminds me of DJ and look how Pearson has treated him. This. If he doesn't do well he'll sulk and disrupt. If he does do well, he'll make sure his agent touts him to 'bigger' clubs at the first opportunity. Therefore not a player for the long term on either measure.
StanSP Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 I'd rather spend time and money on trying to persuade Waghorn and/or Vaughan and their respective managers to let them move to us.
richardsfoxes Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Not a pearson player, completely goes against everything he's been trying to build on these past 2 seasons, teamwork and a team full of players that want to play for leicester city, beckford wants to go to the biggest club he can with the most wages, Scores lots of goals in league 1, like to see him do the same in champ/prem.

body102 Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Dont know how true it is , but i heard everton had signed a pre contract agreement to take Beckford at the end of season
caz05 Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Ay? He scored twice in his last game. You took the words straight from my mouth
surrifox Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 he appears to be a disruptive tit and Pearson would know that
thybluefox Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Bad move IMO, Everton have got a good solid team and they don't need a player like him. No team needs a player like him tbh.
CosbehFox Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 He's signed for Everton. Not confirmed yet by either party.
Edmund Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Ay? He scored twice in his last game. This Bad move IMO, Everton have got a good solid team and they don't need a player like him. No team needs a player like him tbh. I think he will do well in the prem. He's the sort of player who performs well on the big stage. Moyes is a good disciplinarian as well and wont take any bullshine. At Leeds Beckford is a big fish in a small pond and dictates his own career to a certain extent but he will become a small fish in a big pond if he does move to Everton. If he sulks, he will most probably be shown the door.
Samilktray Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 I'd take him in a shot, but he wont be here next season.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Tell you who I would have over Beckford is Jay Bothroyd anyday. Although Bothroyd has attitude, he doesn't tend to disrupt the team and generally isn't caught whinging during games. Don't know why Premier teams not signed him.
Ozwin Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Jay Boothroyd would be a quality signing, he's ****ing massive and has pace to burn, I'd love him here.
Edmund Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 I'd much prefer it if we signed Messi than Bothroyd to be honest.
Corky Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Tell you who I would have over Beckford is Jay Bothroyd anyday. Although Bothroyd has attitude, he doesn't tend to disrupt the team and generally isn't caught whinging during games. Don't know why Premier teams not signed him. Good shout. However, as someone previously said, I hope we give ourselves the best possible chance of signing Vaughan or Waghorn before looking elsewhere.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 If we go up, who's saying he might not be here next season. Doubt he'd cut it in the premier.
The Doctor Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 I'd rather spend time and money on trying to persuade Waghorn and/or Vaughan and their respective managers to let them move to us. pretty sure when we loaned him everton said he could leave permanantly this summer.
MPH Posted 30 April 2010 Posted 30 April 2010 Not confirmed yet by either party. He signed a pre contract agreement with them back in January - however they are not legally binding.. Leeds manager Simon Grayson has hinted that Jermaine Beckford has agreed a pre-contract with Premier League side Everton.Beckford is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with Newcastle and Everton in recent weeks. Grayson said in The Sun today: "Pre-contract agreements aren't binding, so both parties could pull out at any time." although beckford or everton have not said this, i see no reason for Grayson to lie... http://www.imscouting.com/global-news-article/Leeds-boss-Grayson-confirms-Beckford-Everton-move/5154/ http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/01/31/1769444/everton-confident-of-signing-leeds-united-striker-jermaine
