Webbo Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale-6.5 I think he got the wall wrong but apart from that sound. Solano-7Fairly sound in defence, passing wasn't great. Hobbs-9 F**king immense Bruce-8.5 had a good game. Berner-7 OK Spearing-7Worked hard didn't get forward enough. A King-7.5 Wellens-8 pick of the midfield today. Gallagher-6 ineffective. Waghorn-6 Not his fault but the same as above. Dyer-6 one cross and that was it. Subs: Fryatt (61 for Dyer)-6.5 Still not match sharp. N'Guessan (84 for Wellens)-7 Should have come on earlier. Kermorgant (75 for Waghorn)-7 Not bad in the time given
The Doctor Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 7 did well - goal was more quality strike than poor keeping Solano - 6 - poor. hardly found anyone with his passes Hobbs - 9 - Brilliant Bruce - 8 - Works well with hobbs Berner - 8 - Got foward and supported the attack well - solid in defence as per usual Spearing - 7 - Fought hard but struggled - out numbered more than anything King - 6.5 - Anonymous Wellens - 6.5 - Stop pissing about with it on the edge of the box and take a shot with the amount of room you had Gallagher - 6.5 - Ineffectual Waghorn - 6.5 - Didn't do much but lack service Dyer - 6.5 - Anonymous Subs: Fryatt - 6.5 - A fully fit fryatt would have converted that one on one but cut it back to gallagher rather than crossing it there N'Guessan - 7 - Drove at them well and did more in 5 minutes than the rest of the team did in 90 Kermorgant - 7.5 - Looked a lot better when he came on
Ricey Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale-6.5 - Caught out for the free-kick Solano - 6 - Calm but gave the ball away too much Hobbs - 8 - Solid but mark down for the whole defence looking a bit shaky Bruce - 7 - Decent but gave them too much space Berner - 7 - See above Spearing - 7 - Worked hard and closed down well A King - 6 - Barely ever closed down their midfielders, offered little Wellens 7 - Was very attack-minded today, but gave the ball away a lot Gallaghe - 7 - Sat too deep but at least he looked creative Waghorn - 6 - Didn't threaten Dyer -6 - See above Subs: Fryatt - 6 - Looked very unfit N'Guessan - 7 - Only player all game to attack them! Kermorgant - 6 - Unlucky at the end
Guest Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale-7 - Not sure what that wall was Fryatt wasn't concentrating and Weale wasn't quite positioned right but otherwise no probems Solano-6 poor passing gave the ball away so often in the first half. Hobbs-8 decent but not perfect Bruce-8 covered well Berner- 7.5 hoped for a little more going forward but can't complain Spearing-6 better in the second half but the whole midfield failed to close down and support the Waggers in the first A King-5 perhaps this means he'll score two on wednesday Wellens-8 Only midfielder who seemed to work throughout the game in both attack and defence Gallagher-6.5 could have done better Waghorn-7.5 worked hard but was isolated Dyer-6.5 didn't play to his level Subs: Fryatt (61 for Dyer)-7 better than I thought but lacked the final touch N'Guessan (84 for Wellens)-7 Should have come on earlier. Kermorgant (75 for Waghorn)-6 started slowly giving them the chance to score - doubt we'll see him again this season.
Simi Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 7 Solano - 7 - Coped better than expected. Hobbs - 8 - Warrior Bruce - 7 - Always wanted to get to the ball the wrong side of Bothroyd that will cost us dearly on Wednesday. Berner - 7 Spearing - 8 - Battled very hard and kept the ball well for us in the first half. King - 7 Wellens - 8* - My man of the match, worked hard and used the ball well. Gallagher - 6 - Ineffective for the most part, had a decent effort though. Waghorn - 7 - Shafted by some team mates. Dyer - 6 - Not his best. Subs Kermo - 5 - Stupid foul cost us the match. N'Guessan - 7 - Must start Weds. Fryatt - 4 - WTF
shiv Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale 6.5 - Poor positioning for the goal and should have had more men in the wall. Solano 7 - Solid defensively, passing wasn't as bad as people are making out, great ball to put Fryatt through. Hobbs 9.5 - MOTM for me. He just gets better every game. Bruce 8.5 - Impressive performance. Berner 7 - Solid at the back and looked decent going forward. Spearing 7.5 - Worked his socks off. Wellens 8 - Did well, kept the game flowing. King 7 - Invisible at times but good performance nonetheless. Gallagher 7.5 - Did well, good deliveries. Dyer 7 - Did OK but didn't really know where to play. Waghorn 7 - Feel sorry for the lad, had no supply or support. SUBS Fryatt 6.5 - Should have scored but still not match fit. Kermo 7.5 - Was very impressed when he came on, made a big difference. N'Guessan 7 - Did well but needed more time. Home fans 5 - Considering how many turned up the atmosphere was poor. We only started singing after we conceded. NP 7 - Got it wrong but made good subs. Ref 1 - Diabolical. The amount of times we get Premiership refs that can't keep up with the game or make big decisions is shocking. Sort it out FA.
Fox92 Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 6 - Solid apart from the goal. Got it all wrong I think. Solano - 7 - For a veteran, solid. Hobbs - 9 - Immense and man of the match. Bruce - 8 - Starting to work well with Hobbs and a solid performance. Berner -7 Spearing - 7 - Worked hard as usual. A King - 6.75 - Quiet. Wellens - 8 - Ace, again. King should have gone off instead. Gallagher - 6 - Ineffective out there. Waghorn - 6 - Not his fault but again was icsolated and ineffective. Worked hard as usual though. Dyer - 6 - Quiet.
iancognito Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 6 - Basic costly error. Good as he's been this season, that was poor. Solano - 5 - I've yet to see a decent cross from him, poor passing again today Berner - 6 - Solid against Whittingham, nothing more. Bruce - 7 - Mopped up well & unlucky late on. Hobbs - 8 - Great performance, proper ding-dong battle with Bothroyd. Wellens - 7 - Lacked the final killer ball, couldn't find the front guys with anything meaningful. Spearing - 5 - Nervous start, never imposed himself. King - 5 - We needed a big game from Kingy and he went missing too often. Dyer - 5 - Shackled well and rarely got a chance all game. Gallagher - 6 - Screamed for the ball all game and then did less than f*** all with it when he got it. Waghorn - 6 - Isolated and didn't get a clear chance all game. SUBS Fryatt - 6 - Clearly not fit but if he wants to be a Premier striker he's got to use his left foot sometime. NGuessan - 7 - Gave them a headache when he came on, deserves a start on Wednesday. Kermorgant - 6 - Never got into the game, maybe should have started because he's not an impact player.
Man Of Faith Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 7 (Didnt have mch to do, but did what he had to with minimal fuss, unfortunately got caught out with fk) Solano - 7 (Actually thought he played well - decent positinal sense) Hobbs - 9 (Immense throughout) Bruce- 8 (Good strong solid performance) Berner 7(Decent - got forward when needed) Wellens - 8 (Thought everything went through him - When we werent lumping it forward!!) Spearing -7 (Worked very hard and put himself about, just outthought at times) King- 6.5 (Pretty anonymous really) Gallagher - 6 (So ineffectual) Dyer - 6.5 (Threatened occasionally but looked in the wrong position) Waghorn - 7 (Isolated and not supported enough, but worked hard) SUBS: Fryatt - 6 (Still not quite there mentally and physically - missed a gilt edged chance) Kermo - 6 (Never quite got to grips with the game) N'guessan - 6.5 (Drove at them with real threat at times, just dint have enough time in the game)
Guest ttfn Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale 7 - Fine Solano 8 - One of our most dynamic players. From right back. Need I say more. Bruce 7.5 - Did ok, struggled with Bothroyd. AWESOME defending at the death Hobbs 9 - Excellent. Berner 7 - Solid Spearing 7.5 - Actually wanted to take the ball forwards. Wellens 7 - When he wasn't trying to be over-elaborate, he was good King 3 - Awful. Lethargic and barely in the game. But in typical King fashion nearly scored. Dyer 4 - Took up his ludicrous Messi-style floating role. One of the best left-wingers in the league is wasted there. And I bet Pearson didn't tell him to do that. Waghorn 6 - Tried hard, but had no effect on the game. Some good corners. Gallagher 7 - Did fine, wasted a few passes in the first half. subs: All 6 - Fryatt's miss poor but his movement and touch was sorely lacking in the first half.

sdb Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Hobbs 8 spearing 7 dyer 5 king 6 the rest 6.5 their front 4 were dangerous. Our set up was all wrong. Ref had a horrid last 30.
FoxyPV Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale - 7 (solid throughout) Solano - 6.5 (passing was a bit awry apart from that good) Hobbs - 9 (Brilliant) Bruce- 7.5 (at fault for Chopra's chance in the 1st half but great in the 2nd) Berner 7.5 (usual dependable Bruno) Wellens - 8.5 (passed well, tracked back and always available for teammates) Spearing -7.5 (some important tackles and put in a good shift) King- 5 (anonymous) Gallagher - 7.5 (always an option, passed well except the final corner, took a touch too much for his chance at the end) Dyer - 7 (hot and cold but always an otpion for any match) Waghorn - 8 (worked hard all match but completely isolated) SUBS: Fryatt - 6 (good touches and passes but missed a sitter) Kermo - 6 (did well enough bar the free kick they scored from) N'guessan - 7 (gave a directness to the play, attacked the defence and put them on the back foot should have been on earlier)

martyn Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale 6.5 - Nothing to do although perhaps could have done better for the goal? Solano 8.5 - A total class act, definitely worth another year. Hobbs 8.5 - Colossal again. Bruce 7.5 - Solid enough, great last ditch block at the death. Berner 7.5 - Gave Burke nothing, offered good support going forward Gallagher 6 - Non existant 1st half, a bit mor einvolved 2nd but still no real influence King 5 - Looked to be affected by nerves big time today. Wellens 6.5 - Allways looking for the creative option but was slightly ponderous in possession Spearing 6.5 - Lots of endeavour but no real impact Dyer 5.5 - Sadly the March/April Lloyd stayed at home today, inconsequential Waghorn 6 - Worked hard but thankless task with no support Fryatt 5 Kermorgant 6 N'Guessan 5
Corky Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale- 7 (Could've possibly done better with the goal) Solano- 7 (Good display) Hobbs- 9 (Rock in defence, played a superb pass to Gallagher) Bruce- 8 (Impressed, uses the ball much better than Brown) Berner- 7 (Solid from Bruno, gets forward very well) Spearing- 7 King- 5 (Not his best game, hardly involved) Wellens- 7.5 (Like this guy, uses the ball well) Gallagher- 6 (Sturggled to get involved) Waghorn- 6 (Service wasn't great, tried hard) Dyer- 5 (Really struggled to make an impact today) Fryatt- 5 (Missed a glorious chance) Kermo- 6 (Adds some bite to our attack) N'Guessan- 7 (Should've been on earlier, added some life to our wing)
The Doctor Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 PREMIERSHIP Hobbs Wellens CHAMPIONSHIP Weale Waghorn Bruce Berner Spearing LEAGUE 1 Solano King Gallagher Dyer Fryatt N'Guessan Kermorgant really? Wellens bottled it on the edge of the area and gave away possession far too often while Dany boy was probable our best player in the match (alongside hobbs).
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 Weale- 7 (Bet he's thinking he should have had a second man in the wall now! Made a great save second half, even if Rilley had blown for a freekick, he wasn't to know that) Solano- 7 (Showed composure on the ball and made some nice passes - a couple didn't come off) Hobbs- 9 (Looked very assured at the back, except for his rash challenge that brought the booking. The prem will be calling for him very soon, with or without us) Bruce- 7 (Did ok, but Boothroyd knew he wanted to battle with Bruce in the air and managed to win flicks and knock downs to start Cardiff attacks) Berner- 8 (Good at the back, good going forward - not much more you could ask for reallyl) Spearing- 7 King- 7 Wellens- 7 (7's all around - worked hard, played nice triangles at times, but without really going anywhere. Maybe the 3 are just a bit too alike each other though?) Gallagher- 7.5 (Corners were good, last one apart, they always looked dangerous. Looked brighter on the left in the second half) Waghorn- 7 (Battled, but Cardiff marshalled him well. Needed more support around him - purhapse this should have been one of the midfield 3) Dyer- 6 (Appeared to make some good runs 1st half, but that was on the far side from me. Blew hot and more commonly cold as usual) Fryatt- 6 (He got in positions - good. Taking them - not so good. It was also apparent that we didn't want to go in where he would get hurt!) Kermo- 6 (Gave away a silly freekick - and we paid the ultimate price) N'Guessan- 7 (Looked a handful - whether that would have been the case if he'd started we will never know. With Waggy and Gally, I'd prefer him to Dyer as he at least can give us an 'out' ball to hit up to)
