BoneDog Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 So the Kermorgant flaming begins. Maybe we should be looking to blame Webb instead, or his linesman for not seeing Chopra offside for the penalty. Yann bottled it. It happens. Calling for him to be booted out is just daft. Yann was a **** though. My 8 year old cousin takes penalties 10 times better than that, and he goes to school in the day and doesn't train with quality coaches.
samlcfc Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=121215127908062 haters dont hang around much do they
Corky Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 How can people be saying they're proud!?!?!?!! I don't feel a tiny bit of pride for feeling positively sick from being so close and then being denied by some **** of a ref and some French tit who can't take penalties... Where in all the hurt, disappointment, shock, gutted-ness and feeling sick can ANYONE so soon after losing like that feel pride?!! Staggering. I feel all those things, the pride in me comes from the fact that we have been brilliant this season, our first back at this level, and we've lost because they've taken one better penalty than us. If we'd lost 5-0 and shown no passion I'd be furious, but we didn't. We could've crumbled at 2-0 down but we didn't. We kept going and we nearly got there. Well done Cardiff, I hope Blackpool win it though.
ta-fc Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Proud to be Leicester, especially proud tonight after that performance... I really dont want to comment on Kermit the frogs 'penalty' as i'm way too angry!!! Last thing to say is that Nigel Pearson is an absolute legend who has way too much class, i'm not sure i could be so gracious in his position.
lovelcfc Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I know what kermo was going to do his idear was not bad because all the keeper were diving early but why tap just wack it I knew waggy were going to miss to much pressure on him why kermo brilliant season tho very proud to be foxes fan
Carlos9 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Fook off Kermogant! So proud of you lads assistants and refs were shit. Next season we will go up stronger and more equipped! you have to think about the teams that have came down and teams that didnt go up, and what about leeds? its going to be hard next year, we will do what bristol city did. (only didnt make the final)
Babylon Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 you have to think about the teams that have came down and teams that didnt go up, and what about leeds? its going to be hard next year, we will do what bristol city did. (only didnt make the final) Leeds are shit, they came second. Peterborough did last year... where are they. Stop being a miserable git.
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I'm going to bed. Because if I have to read one more person defending Kermogant or anyone else that takes pretentious, doomed-to-fail, wanky penalties I'm going to tear them an e-"New One." It's fucking stupid to the highest degree and defending it is nearly equally unforgivable. There's a reason Graham Alexander is such a genius from the spot and the likes of Earnshaw and Hume are woeful and you've seen it in practice tonight. Oh and Corky. We're getting rid of West Brom and Newcastle and adopting Burnley (one hit wonders), Portsmouth (will be lucky if they aren't relegated again next year) and Hull (shit.) If Pearson does well over the summer next year could be bright for us.
Daggers Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 After 20 minutes I was ashamed of the team, embarrassed for them even. After 120 minutes I was proud of what they tried to do. A good fist was made and either team could have won, shame it wasn't us but life goes on. Next season now: some tasty pre-season signings and a solid push for playoffs again, please.
City_4_Life Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Aint got much to say, i'm gutted absolutley gutted. Well done lads for putting up a great fight, bring on next season.
BoneDog Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I give Yann credit for taking the penalty, but just smash the ball mate, if you miss like that no-one will have a go at you. I agree with that. Just pick your spot and make sure you put the ball there. There's no way he meant to put the ball where he did cos it didn't matter which way the keeper dived he would save that crappy attempt all day. If you are floating one over the line it has to be at least 5 foot in the air. I'm very proud and pleased with the players this season but I can't think of anything but that penalty at the moment
OzFox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I knew I shouldn't have booked that flight... Great effort lads.
Edmund Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 After 20 minutes I was ashamed of the team, embarrassed for them even. After 120 minutes I was proud of what they tried to do. A good fist was made and either team could have won, shame it wasn't us but life goes on. Next season now: some tasty pre-season signings and a solid push for playoffs again, please. Pretty much sums up my feelings. It was bloody emotional to say the least. Bi-polar football at it's most.
ACF Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Ffs, kermo you plank. However, FANTASTIC performance from our boys. I'm so proud, just the willy puller bottled it. Waggy obviously loves the club (:
acooling08 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 May I just say as I haven't experienced any play offs before, this is one of the worst feelings i've ever had. Those who remember Swindon, well done for not killing yourself.
surrifox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 looking for positives right , so campbell to play at wembley and score so that holloway is morally bound to sign the twat . we get some dosh and we never have to discuss him again cardiff have spent bundles of money they don't have, loaning the likes of bothroyd instead of paying their tax- that alone assures blackpool of my support regardless that they are managed by the worst manager in the history of our club
Babylon Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 May I just say as I haven't experienced any play offs before, this is one of the worst feelings i've ever had. Those who remember Swindon, well done for not killing yourself. Ha ha... at least I can still laugh. Thanks.
NorthernFox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Totally gutted. Almost pissed. Still thin Kermogant will prove pwoplw wrong, wrong tactic on pen, but fookin marvelous effort tonight. End of the day it hurts like a fooking bitch but we will look back and build. This time next year rodders......
StanSP Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 http://www.facebook.com/pages/Im-Good-at-penalties-lol-Jk-Im-Yann-Kermorgant/116592948377638 Damn.
Bugg Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Absolutely devastated, penalties are the worst way for a team to be eliminated. And Kermorgant, in the words of Southgates mother "why didn't you just belt it, son?"
Joe. Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Tonight was genuinely the first time I've ever felt like crying as a Leicester fan. It's not the fact we lost, I can deal with that. It's the cuntish 'fans' in the pub who think it's hilarious to laugh in your face when you've just lost on penalties in one of your biggest games in years. Normally I could maybe take a bit of banter but not tonight. And they're still revelling in it now. I'm sorry but I just can't hack that. The fucking ****** who don't understand what it's like to feel the pressure of a Championship semi-final because their team (who they never even known are playing) get to a cup final of some description every year. They'll never understand. Onto the game, I'm so proud of our team for getting this far tonight. I really thought we were going to do it at 3-2 up, but our dodgy defending all night was going to bite us at some point. Webb was whistle-happy all night though, not surprising given his Premiership tag. Livid with Kermorgant though. A penalty shoot-out of that magnitude and you just don't do that. Ridiculous decision, I hope he gets royally bollocked for it at some point soon. So gutted to have missed out after such a good game of football, but I guess some things just aren't meant to be.
sbfox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Aye, Swindon was painful, but memories of Derby and Palace have tempered that. So proud of the club this season and though it hurts right now, I'm proud of the performance on the night. To win 3-2 (and Chopra WAS offside...) away at Cardiff was an excellent result. Yeah, Kermo was a complete plank, but over time we should forgive him. He's a young lad (despite looking about 30...) and I personally do rate him, I just hope we give him a chance next year as a long-term replacement for Howard. I really hope Nigel stays and with a few quality signings (centre-back, a quality winger and a striker), we could really challenge for the top two. We've got an excellent spine to the team, with Weale, Hobbs, King+Wellens and Fryatt, there's no reason to be too depressed, however much it hurts right now.
surrifox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I agree with that. Just pick your spot and make sure you put the ball there. I'm very proud and pleased with the players this season but I can't think of anything but that penalty at the moment i know exactly what you mean - I am trying not to carp but Pearson must have had them practising pens as they could definitely feature in the proceedings. Surely he could not have recommended that YK go with such a spazzy attempt as that
