Corky Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I give Yann credit for taking the penalty, but just smash the ball mate, if you miss like that no-one will have a go at you. This club, and that team, has done us proud this season, and last season as well. I feel for all the players, they gave everything, and Nigel + staff for being dignified in their jobs. We'll just have to come back next year. And be in the top two
FoxyPV Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Do you think Pearson planted him when he got into the changing room?
Basingstoke Fox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 WE DO, OHHH LEICESTER WE LOVE YOU! (except for that arrogant and foolish knob Yann). But I'm certainly not feeling down, what a season we have had. So immensely proud! When your smiling!
WardyisPukka Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 such a shit way 2 go out!! wat a performance by us!! never expected that!! just gutted!!! yann let us down massively shud of followed the lead of other takers and smashing top corner!! just sums him up - NO CONFIDENCE , 1 goal all season!!
Edmund Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Gutted for the team. Gutted. Waghorn looked distraught at the end. We played ****ing well and who would've thought that we would've got a result at Cardiff. Such a shame to throw it away in those circumstances. All that hard work for nothing. Penalties are so cruel.
cambridgefox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I could cry like a girl! i would have rather have lost in extra time, than on pens. What a gutsy performance that was though.WE ARE LEICESTER!
Dames Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Never has one man let a team and a city down so badly. Not even a reaction from him. He is a disgrace. I guarantee he's feeling it, he knew as soon as he missed it was his fault.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 How can people be saying they're proud!?!?!?!! I don't feel a tiny bit of pride for feeling positively sick from being so close and then being denied by some **** of a ref and some French tit who can't take penalties... Where in all the hurt, disappointment, shock, gutted-ness and feeling sick can ANYONE so soon after losing like that feel pride?!! Staggering.
wurmer Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Kermo penalty was a disgrace - why the fook do players try and do that. Cardiff keeper was well off his line for waggo's save too. Been a good season, but I have a feeling we will struggle to do this well next season, unfortunately.
STUHILL Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 So so proud of Leicester tonight. To take a team with the players Cardiff have got all the way to penalties is a fantastic achievement. I won't blame Kermogant, he had the balls to step up and take it and he definitely didn't get it right but to blame the outcome on him is fooking ridiculous. We will be so much stronger next season for this! Hopefully we can hold on to the key players like Hobbs, King and maybe loan a few gems again next year or even permanent deals if lucky. PEARSON for me is the future of this club. Brilliant manager. I had my doubts with Fryatt and Howard but even though not as attractive passing as usual, they did the job today getting us back in to this. Also special mention to HOWARD, he is a warrior!! Shame he is in the twilight of his career, legend!
Babylon Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I'm not blaming Kermo, he could have blasted it and put it over, players can take them however they think. I'm so proud of what we did tonight, not many thought we could do it but we did. The effort and commitment they all showed was unbelievable, we've come so far in such a short space of time. Steve Howard was quite amazing especially tonight. Gutted.... but so fooking proud.
samlcfc Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Bit gutted but the team did very well today and didnt lack in effort throughout the entire match, gave it their all and unfortunately it just slipped away. As long as we still have a football team ill be reet aha. can honestly say thatd itd take something extremely poor to out shit that kermo penalty , was very very poor. Doubt hell get much love from his team(mates) for a while, but players make mistakes and it can happen to many of them. I think that his place is going to have to be evaluated though to see what hes bringing to the team except for filling the squad. Havnt had too much to judge him on but he hasnt showed much to any of us and I cant see that changing too much to be honest. Mandaric wont be sleeping for a while
Finnegan Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 You know you were dirtier right? Great start with Wellens just going in two footed. He's the Paul Scholes of the Championship. Ignore him mate. He's a prize twat. Good luck to you at Wembley, decent of you not to be a dick.
Shane Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 What kermorgant did was unforgivable. When your in that situation, how the fook can you even take that bloody risk of trying to be smart and do a little chip down the middle? I can't believe it, I thought this was our year but life goes on and we have to prepare ourselves for next year. I hope blackpool beat cardiff, even though they have holloway, i don't care. The amount of diving etc from cardiff was laughable. (yes bothryod im talking about you, ye big girl!) Last note: WELL DONE LADS!
foxesfan1 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 kermo and the officials deserve a firing squad once again robbed by officials and then mocked by a frenchmen trying to be cocky sell him or i will for certain be on his back all next season!
KFS Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 You know you were dirtier right? Great start with Wellens just going in two footed. He's the Paul Scholes of the Championship. Not quoting the commentator then at all. Good luck beating Blackpool with that defence, another year of upset for you, bye bye Bothroyd.
CheshireFox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I knew he'd miss. Just knew it. It was a mistake bringing him on, should of subbed on N'Guessan. At least Kermorgant had the bottle to take a penalty, not many players do, so we should give him some credit. Some. It was a great effort. The ref gave everything their way, including the penalty which was NEVER a penalty. So, you can run into someone and claim a penalty now? Piss off. Cardiff cheated like usual, played dirty, dived. We beat them, but the ref beat us. I hope Blackpool destroy them. really just had to resist the urge to slap your signature picture
buzzy Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 waghorn should have done better in extra time with that crap shot after a great cross but he had a good season for him and for lcfc
isaidno Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Gutted. , if the away goals rule was used , we'd be at Wembley
shen Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Do you think Pearson planted him when he got into the changing room? Never. Nor do I think that's the way to deal with someone trying something else. The idea was fine, the execution less so.
Narborough_fox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Fook off Kermogant! So proud of you lads assistants and refs were shit. Next season we will go up stronger and more equipped!
ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Yann must be feeling it aswell, he knows he bottled it. We gave it a fooking good go, and I'm proud of our team. Penalties are so cruel.
StanSP Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 How can people be saying they're proud!?!?!?!! Staggering. Look at the bigger picture. Proud over the whole course of the season. Did you honestly think we'd get this far in August 09? Cos not many people did. Proud over the season. Gutted for a matter of minutes.
Shane Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Oh and another thing: It is now a MUST that we keep hold of our key players, and strengthen for next year. We cannot let pearson go either! Well played stevie howard. The cardiff defence didnt know what to do with him! How old is he now, will he be too old next season/his legs gone just like we saw with dickov?
