anglodan Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 As soon as Yann stepped up I just knew the outcome. funny how those instincts always seems to come true
Koke Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 no one went to kermogant says it all really The guy ripped my heart in pieces. Unforgivable The Cardiff City Stadium erupts as Cardiff reach the Championship play-off final where they will face Blackpool. Yann Kermorgant is the Leicester fall guy, the Frenchman taking a ridiculously cheeky penalty. He tries to dink it in, but David Marshall guesses the right way and saves easily, leaving Kermorgant with oeuf all over his face.
shen Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 My heart sank as soon as Yann missed. If you're going to be cheeky at least do it right and not with an uber-feeble attempt like that. I feel we've been very hardly done by. One moment of hesitation by Bruce was the decisive moment in this game. We never looked like we'd recover from that...
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Amazing save on Waggy's penalty though. I am disappointed in Kermo but I think it's unfair to pin the defeat on him. It was an awful penalty but he would have learnt more tonight than he did in an entire season of half-appearances and average performances. Whatever the case, I am so proud to be a Leicester City fan at this moment.
Leicfox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I don't blame any of the players who miss peno's, the pressure is huge.. The Linesmen not spotting Chopra was offside which then led to a penalty changed the game. Proud of the lads.... onwards and upwards. Well done Cardiff, Come on Blackpool.
CheshireFox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 no one went to kermogant says it all really yep. an outrage really, an experienced striker should NEVER take a penalty like that. fooking piss take. goodbye kermorgant he'll never get the crowd behind him (and he had enough trouble already) after that. we were so close!
Carlos9 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Yann is an idiot in all honesty! Why would you try such a peno in a game like this! i think hobbs should have took that!! Not so much a dive from Chopra but he defenetly played for the peno! Too be fair the lads have done us proud this season, no one expected us too finish where we did. What is the away goal rule? we played away from home? we played in a diffrent country for godsake!
ozleicester Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 just crushed... devestated, but very proud to be a leicester fan. thanks for the year boys.
atw88 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I hate to say it, but I feel for you guys so much. Harshest of ways to go out. Good luck next season, you can't fault your lot for a performance like that.
Dames Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I imagine the reaction will have been different if it went in. At the end of the day with those penalties you win some and you lose some. In all honesty they should never have had a penalty for their second as Chopra was miles offside. And what a performance from Big Steve absolutely played his heart out.
StanSP Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 what happened to waggy then was he hurt??? or just very emotional What the hell do you think? Absolutely gutted. Feel like crying.
okie fox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Don't know why Kermogant was on the pitch. I would have brought on N'Guessan to run at them or Vaughan if he is fit enough.
MikeyT Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Just totally speechless and gutted. Lads have gave it their all this season. Proud to be a City fan. The lads can hold their heads up high. We will be back bigger and better next season. A big thank you to the loan players as well, they certainly made an impact here and going to miss them. Good luck to them. Blue Army!!!
Guest NGoloMode Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 As soon as Yann stepped up I just knew the outcome. funny how those instincts always seems to come true Everyone knew.. he's crap
flanimal Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I knew he'd miss. Just knew it. It was a mistake bringing him on, should of subbed on N'Guessan. At least Kermorgant had the bottle to take a penalty, not many players do, so we should give him some credit. Some. It was a great effort. The ref gave everything their way, including the penalty which was NEVER a penalty. So, you can run into someone and claim a penalty now? Piss off. Cardiff cheated like usual, played dirty, dived. We beat them, but the ref beat us. I hope Blackpool destroy them.
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010       I've got a rock and some rope. All I need is a taxi to take me to the pier. I bet the fookin' tide's out. Bugger!
Bryn Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I'm so disappointed. And not even cause we lost. Just because everything those lads have worked for has been undermined. I'd never boo him when he's on the pitch, I'd never incite hate against him. But I don't think the way he has let the team down can be tolerated.
z-layrex Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I dont really bame Kermo, he just shouldnt have been made to take the penalty, the poor guy has hardly settled in. Should have been Hobbs. I <3 LC
Aeropars Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Listen, the peno's are immaterial. We were knocked out by a decision where it was a clear offise which WAS interferring with play. THis is not clutching at straws. It is not trying to be posative. It is not being bias. It is fact. A premiership ref and officials not spotting that is obscene. deserved or not, this was fact. We have been done.
Candidcamera Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Never has one man let a team and a city down so badly. Not even a reaction from him. He is a disgrace.
Jimothy Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Absolutely gutted. Great performance by the lads to turn in round and get into the position they got into. But Kermogant, what were you thinking. Stupid penalty to try at that time and put all the pressure on Waghorn for the last penalty. Anyway great season despite tonight. We'll come be back stronger next year.
crazylegs1984 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 L.C.F.C you done us proud !!!!!!! great season great , bunch of lads lets get next season going and go for it again nothing stopping us foxes forever
atw88 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 Cardiff cheated like usual, played dirty, dived. We beat them, but the ref beat us. I hope Blackpool destroy them. You know you were dirtier right? Great start with Wellens just going in two footed. He's the Paul Scholes of the Championship.
Carlos9 Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 I dont really bame Kermo, he just shouldnt have been made to take the penalty, the poor guy has hardly settled in. Should have been Hobbs. I <3 LC I think pearson would of asked who wants to take them, hobbs should have took it though i agree. It would of been nice to be in the prem next season but just a dream! I suppose every cloud has a silver lineing, we still get to play Forest, Cov and Derby next season
