That would go down well. West Brom to Wolves.

Didn't harm Steve Bull too much.

Not really the same though

Or Don Goodman.

Not saying it would sway his decision but Crncic being here could help make his mind up?, plus the championship seems to be a comfort zone for him! it would be brilliant if we sign him! he is something we lack i think!

Koren would be a brilliant addition. Lots of quality. Why do we always go for the poorer quality players? :dunno: :dunno:

Because we don't have enough money? And how do you know we've now got "players of poorer quality"?

They weren't bad enough to help the club finish 5th in the Championship - or 25th best team in England.

Not too shabby.

I reall don't want to get excited about this but I'm finding it hard not to. Koren's been waiting a long time for a player of his quality - could be our takeover-related?

Can't see us getting Koren with the likes of Celtic interested but I would make no apologies for making my underpants warm and sticky if we did.

In reply to this argument of, will we, won't we; the statement from his agent read:

"I would like him to stay in England, but Serie A would also be seen as an attractive proposition"

Now, for me, that would already say Wolves or ourselves, which, once again are ideally located due to his previous club and relocation (i'd have assumed) to the Midlands. Another thing in our favour, as has already been stated, it's like Robbie Savage. Ok, he now plays at Derby, but he didn't go straight there from us. Another example, Shilton. Played for us, then Derby and Forest (but if my footballing knowledge is correct) he went elsewhere in between.

The point I'm trying to make is thus: he wouldn't want to be a hate figure at the Baggies!!!

So, my tip, from what Paulo was implying is... watch this space!

We've got a good chance of signing him i think, well a strong offer atleast. We're a side on the up, improving all the time, hopefully going for promotion this season. With the takeover all but complete he will be offered good wages and he will pretty much walk into the team. The question ive got is, how will sousa play it with Koren in the team?

Weale

Lamey Morrison Hobbs Berner

Mereno

King Wellens

Koren

Fryatt DJ ?

Paulo almost sounded to me as if he would love him here, but there wasn't really a chance of it happening due to the high demand of the player.

Hope this isn't the case though as he would be one of the best midfielders in the championship.

Am I the only person on here not completely obsessed by Robert Koren?? Yea he's not a bad player, but if he's rated so highly, why did West Brom let him go? It's not like they've signed loads of world class players this summer!
