Let them have him. It says a lot when the only club that has ACTUALLY gone in for him is Blackpool.

And you know that how?

His agent has most probably spoken to 20 or 30 clubs about him all over Europe. As someone said above, he's probably biding his time waiting for the right/best offer, fair play to him.

Very pleased to hear we're at least in the hunt. Koren would be a fantastic signing for us at this level, no question. We'd have to offer him big money though.

Yeah, he's worth it IMO. Would take us up a level for sure.

This is a player that i think the fans are unanimously in favour of us signing.

So we wont.

Koren closing in on future decision

Slovenia midfielder Robert Koren hopes to make a decision regarding his future over the weekend, with several clubs chasing his signature.

The 29-year-old was released by West Brom back in May after making 124 appearances for the Baggies.

And after appearing for his national side during the World Cup, Koren is keen to sort out his future before the start of the new season.

Koren has been linked with Premier League clubs Wolves and Blackpool as well as Championship side Leicester and SPL giants Celtic. Serie A club Cesena and Spanish oufit Real Sociadad have also expressed a firm interest.

Agent Zoran Krneta told skysports.com: "Robi want to be back in full time training and to link up with a new manager and team-mates.

"We believe we have all our final offers in now and its down to Robi to make a decision on where he feels comfortable moving his family to and working with.

"He's been working hard on his fitness but is aware that the season is imminent and want to get on with it."

Krneta is hopeful that a deal for the experienced star will be sorted out by the end of the weekend and would like the player to possibly stay in England where he has spent the last three-years.

"We hope to have things sorted in the next 48 hours if it all possible. I would like to see him stay in England as he has built himself a name here, but Serie A is an attractive option for any player".

Acknowledges that we're interested but with Celtic etc interested, can't see us getting him to be honest.

Quality player who can pass the ball and available on a free, not surprising that Sousa would be Interested... just hard to see us beating of prem competition.

Always the chance that investment in the club could make city a more appealing prospect.

If he wants to stay in the area then we're one of two options, he'd definately start for us whereas he might not for Wolves. I'm actually quite hopeful now.
