Edmund Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 That Boateng looks solid. Good signing by Man City in my opinion.
Fox You Forest Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Show us some more of that German blonde in the crowd from earlier, far more entertaining.
Edmund Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Show us some more of that German blonde in the crowd from earlier, far more entertaining. The one with blonde hair and blue eyes?
Fox You Forest Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 The one with blonde hair and blue eyes? The face paint disabled.
FoxyPV Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 :crylaugh: England's Brave and Loyal John Terry was taken apart today - he has the turning circle of a cruise liner. A pitiful performance.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 I think half of that team should never play again. Time to rebuild for the future. Never seen us so bad at the back! Shocking.
BoneDog Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Wounded. This feels nearly as bad as play-off heartache. Didn't deserve it after the performances though.
Benji Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Absolute joke. That disallowed goal is on a par with the offside decision that wasnt given against Chopra for his penalty for me Absolutely livid. OK we've been terrible, and to an extent outplayed. But if that game had have gone to 2-2 no one can possibly say what would have happened, for 20 minutes Germany collapsed, especially the goalie. And lets face it, goals 3 and 4 were counterattacking goals conceeded because we were pushing for an equaliser, which we shouldn't have had to be doing. I'm sure Sepp Blatter will completely brush over this as its England. World cup as a whole though has been a disaster. No one comes out of this good. Something has gone terribly wrong, no one looks fit, sharp, or even to the standard of Blue Square players. Shocking
Phube Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Not even gutted... it was just so lame!!! Just feel Meh... Some of the players need to really look at them selves!
Phube Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Didn't deserve it after the performances though. We managed average against Slovenia... Awful every game else!
CupidStunt Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Shit, thats all they are, they have had this result coming defenders who cant defend properly, a pure embarrassment to the English football the whole lot of them, and as for that capello, tactics and subs???.............never got one right I'm afraid Not had the whole cup fever with England and this result shows why you can forget about the goal that never was, that'd just been used as an excuse if we had lost 2-1, albeit it could have changed the course of the game Germany were not even in first gear and one thing that really frustrated me was bring on heskey.............wtf for?, he dont score, then he brings on a winger towards the end, WHY? Peter Crotch should have come on at half time imo Shocking :frusty:
Fox You Forest Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 What am I supposed to do with all this beer now? I'll have to get pissed watching House.
Webbo Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Time to let the doom sayers have their moment. They can all tell they told us so. Really don't understand the subs, Rooney has been poor all tournament, Gerrard tried long range shots when he could have passed. Our best players have failed and will be past their best by the next tournament and I don't see any future stars coming through. All in all a depressing time to be English.
Asha Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Disallowed goal or no disallowed goal, that was a horrendous performance. We deserved to go out because we were absolutely diabolical all over the pitch. Three unacceptable performances made a 1-0 win against little Slovenia look like an amazing result...but in all honesty we were shit throughout. John Terry in particular, today, was a right donkey. I really hope that's his England career. Start dropping people like Terry, Heskey, Lampard etc and start to bring through the next generation, cause 'the golden one' has failed.
Leicfox Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 This England team are an embarrassment. Overhyped, AND overpaid, FFS they've been together, most of them for 6yrs or so, so what's going wrong? Capello should resign. So poor it's been laughable. There's no partnerships in the side, apart from Terry and Ferdinand, and most importantly no communication from manager because of the language barrier... Wtf was he on about then talking post match?? "We played well". He should of apologised to the nation for wasting our sunday atfernoon, watching that shit.
ozleicester Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 one of the good things about being a City fan.. it prepares you for being an Enfgland fan
BoneDog Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 We managed average against Slovenia... Awful every game else! That's what I mean, we didn't deserve much from this tournament after our performances.
Phube Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Whatever you say about positions, subs etc. You can't blame Capello for that shower of players for the past 4 games!
Corky Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Disappointed, we can talk about the "goal" all we like but too much space for the Germans and they punished us. I hope Capello stays on, we need to rebuild and go again. He's a good manager, the right one in my opinion. The frustrating thing is we go out with no memorable moments (like Beckham's penalty in 2002, Owen in 1998 etc) and thinking what might have been.
ACF Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 lol Are you crazy? He'd get lynched when he went home. Don't be naive. Acts of sportsmanship like that are staggeringly rare and never, ever in such high-stakes environments. Look mate, I know if I was a German player in the situation, I would be saying that's a goal. The media wouldn't matter to me, everyone needs a level playing field, and it needs to be fair. I know its not as quite high-stakes, but Adam Gilchrist walking when he was given not out, not a to dissimilar situation (apart from completely different sports, and the stakes), he was not 'lynched' by our media. He was given respect, and became the face of Australian cricket because of it. If your our, your out, if it's a goal, it's a goal.
The Doctor Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 deary me. That was abject shit from england. All the hype and the usual end product - massive dissapointment. Who know's what would have happened if that goal was given but, as it was, james was the only player to come out with any credit what so ever. Upson & Heskey need to go - not that either should have been invovled today - Dawson/Carragher should have been in if king wasn't fit and Crouch should have been brought on alongside defoe. Lampard and terry survive on reputation only - neither have produced their chelsea best for england but there is a severe lack of quality to replace them. Should the Argies get through that will be one of the best games of the tournament: both destructive in attack and self destructive at the back.
FoxyPV Posted 27 June 2010 Posted 27 June 2010 Capello was clearly speechless in the interview after the match. The team let him down
