Miltonfox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 In the daily mail today, noted on bbc sport gossip page. Reading may make £1m bid. - read into what you will.

According to them 'Fryatt is surplus to requirements'
Miltonfox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 well surplus to requirements is a complete joke!! i am not the biggest matty fan, but he CAN do a job for us and anyway we need all the strikers we can get.... Miltonfox
sdb Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 1mill? worth at least double that. this could be a v depressing 48 hours people...
Toby or not Toby Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I fear he wont be here by the end of tommorrow, shame really, would love to know whats going on behind the scenes.
Jimothy Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 With DJ going, how can Fryatt be surplus to requirements? Even if Sousa doesn't rate him we need strikers.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I can't see how we can get rid of DJ or Fryatt. We clearly have a lack of strikers, unless we have got atleast 2 lined up we can't let 2 strikers go. I think were short of a striker even if we keep both of them.
wurmer Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I reckon the best policy is to ignore the forums, rumours, etc - and come back on here after 6pm on Tuesday when the TW is closed - it's just agony with people speculating left-right and centre.
Miltonfox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Hate to say it but, Reading midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is a shock £4.25million target for German giants Hoffenheim. Reading have just accepted a bid.... part one come true.... Miltonfox
C-man Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 German Giants? village. Why would Fryatt want to go to Reading? Nothing club.
Leicfox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 German Giants? village. Why would Fryatt want to go to Reading? Nothing club. Because they won the London War Cup
Walshy5 Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 German Giants? village. Why would Fryatt want to go to Reading? Nothing club. Because sousa,s made it clear he,s not wanted here
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 £1 million for Fryatt is a joke. I'd be unhappy at anything less than 2.5m.
C-man Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Because sousa,s made it clear he,s not wanted here Because he's not started a few games? He's been injured. Football is a squad game and it's clear that Sousa has NO idea what his best team is.

I agree but with people speculating Left (Back) Right (Midfield) and Centre (Forward) what are we to do
Fox 4 Life Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I live in Reading and there is all sorts of speculation flying around here about Fryatt, nothing concrete yet though.
Fox 4 Life Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Sigurdsson went for £6 million, didnt he? exactly, Reading are looking to soften the blow and Fryatt is the main target apparently.
breadandcheese Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I can't work out why Reading would want Fryatt. Whilst he's a quality player, they have Church and Long to play upfront. In selling Sigurdsson, surely they need an attacking midfielder?

Church has potential but is still very raw, I think everyone at the club is slowly losing patience with Long as he isn't developing at all.
Fox 4 Life Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 well my mate who is an academy coach reckons Fryatt is at the ground but he could well be winding me up so I will keep digging and let you know re any updates. Suprised we haven't heard anything our end so makes me think he is talking shite !
breadandcheese Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Church has potential but is still very raw, I think everyone at the club is slowly losing patience with Long as he isn't developing at all. That makes sense. I think they've got a good player in Church, so does this mean Reading will switch to 4-4-2, or still play as before with one of the forwards dropping into an attacking midfield role?
mancunianfox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Fryatt would walk into that Reading side no matter what formation they played.
