Leicester_Loyal Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Fryatt would walk into that Reading side no matter what formation they played. Yet he started on the bench for us and they beat us.

mancunianfox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Yet he started on the bench for us and they beat us. Yes, but Reading were second best through most of the game. They took advantage of our atrocious defending but didn't really create that much. It doesn't work as simply as our first team being our best side. Reading beat us when our two biggest goal threats started on the bench. Thats because we are managed by a fool.
sdb Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Reading have apparently received 7 mill!! If they want Matty they should have to pay thru the nose for it (whatever that means)
haraven Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 "NP wants Fryatt in a swap deal for Zayatte" According to Walsall web fans; http://www.web-fans.com/walsall/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=900%3Ahull-linked-with-leicester-city-fryatt-swap&catid=4%3Aex-saddler-news&Itemid=4 Hull City boss Nigel Pearson is reported to be trying to arrange a swap deal with his former club Leicester City for Matty Fryatt. Pearson returns to work this week after suffering from chest pains and ’The Mirror’ report he hopes to sign the former Walsall striker. Leicester are in talks with Hull in a loan deal for centre back Kamil Zayatte, with a view to a £1million deal. But Pearson wants Fryatt in exchange. Fryatt has scored 60 goals in 148 starts and 31 substitute appearances at ‘The Walkers Stadium’, in addition to scoring 30 times in 78 appearances as a youngster at Walsall. He has a number of goal records to his name, with the first being when he registered the quickest ever Walsall goal, after 9 seconds in the 2-1 defeat by Bournemouth during the 2004–05 season. This was a record he also matched at Leicester, with remarkably the same time of 9 seconds, in their 2-1 defeat by Preston North End on 15 April 2006. Fryatt scored 23 times during 2008-09 season at The Foxes and became the first player in 42 years to score 20 goals before Christmas, he also was the first player in 83 years to hit hat-tricks in successive matches. Should Pearson get his wish to be reunited with Fryatt then the player would play alongside another former Walsall player Anthony Gerrard at the KC Stadium. The two had a brief spell playing together at the Bescot Stadium between when Gerrard arrived at the club in March 2005 and when Fryatt left in January 2006
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 If Waggy is worth three million, then so too must Fryatt.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 If Waggy is worth three million, then so too must Fryatt. Waghorn was Fryatts sub last season until he got injured so he should be worth more than £3m
Joe. Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 Fryatt is clearly not worth £3 million, get real. I'd be livid if this swap deal had some substance to it, we'd be mad to accept anything like that. He may have his obvious flaws, but Fryatt is one of our most important players without a shadow of a doubt.
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 6 September 2010 Posted 6 September 2010 fryatt wont leave Leicester, the fans love him too much, but is it worth swapping him for a central midfielder, which is our week point, because we have Waghorn now. Waggie and Fryatt would be good up front together. If he leaves, then we will have to rely on Howard as a second striker (which aint good as he cant last 90 mins) or play Gallagher upfront (which isnt good as he proved against Reading) or recall French twat and play him. Leicester cant sell Fryatt, the fans are going to turn on Sousa because we love him too much, look at what he has done for us

You wonder why English football suffers with theses prices.i would get a foreign player with experience on a free and pay the wages!
MC Prussian Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 It has been denied by a BBC Humberside reporter yesterday that any Leicester player would move northbound to Hull. Hull cannot afford to buy a player at this cost at this point in time, as they have to cut their wage bill.

Exactly which is why Zayatte is available, they play him in every game but can't afford his salary.
Dr The Singh Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 So you never saw him down at city then? Many times, and he was a great player for us!! But, I'm talking about now, today and not the past! I saw him play for Villa against Everton, he soooo much reminded me of Tricky Trev......he's past it!!!
Master Fox Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Fryatt is rubbish. Get over it All of this arse licking is sickening. He must be the most overrated player in the history of the game. And how people dont think we could aim higher and get some 10000 times better than him
Thracian Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 And neither is waghorn! You wonder why English football suffers with theses prices.i would get a foreign player with experience on a free and pay the wages! Perhaps you'd remind me of all imported attackers we've had who have done so well for us. Cos my impression of our foreign signings is that you're lucky if they merit a place in the team at all. Let's see know - there was Kaebi, Djiziri, some Italian who was signed around the same time and was never fit, a Scandinavian goalkeeper who looked poor even in the reserves, one-good-game wonder Lakzco, that guy Bori whose name was shorter than his time on the pitch, Tunchev (nice but long-time injured), Vitor who shows every sign of being from the same mould, Yann (penalty king) Kermorghant and so it goes on and on, cos the list seems endless. It really would be nice to name a list of imported foreign successes - people who have had the sort of impact on our club as the greats whose pictures are plastered around the ground but I'm struggling and nothing I've seen from the latest lot is getting me the lest bit excited.

Agreed most have been disapointing, but on the other hand foreign players can obviously play the british game. We maybe need to pick better foreign players? Tunchev is awsome & the club maintain that he will be back! I would like to know when

Simo86 Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 yeh but julian joachim and joey gudjhonson were quality Joachim's english! That means he's not a foreign signing!

Carl Cort is British... He was born in London. And we've had some shit British players, so lets not pretend that that this is a problem with 'foreign players' *coughthinlyveiledracism?cough* Obviously foreign players have done, can and will continue to fit in to the British game, anyone who says otherwise is deluded. I know you like to bring up the Allen players, but that was a weird phase for the club and most of those signings were ill advised at best. I also don't know how you are comparing Vitor (pulled muscle, could happen to any player), to Tunch (who had a massively unfortunate knee injury that wasn't his fault). It just seems as though you really dislike any player that isn't white-British... Sorry.
tomtom Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Julian Joachim and Carl cort both played for England under 21's you bunch of mentalists !!

First of all I've not been talking about the British game I've been talking about Leicester City but if you want my opinion of the effect that the invasion of foreign players has had on the development of British players I'm sure you'll be able to look it up somewhere. Even the authorities are concerned - and no wonder judging by our World Cup performance - butthe constraints of Human Rights legislation and various PC dictates mean that even they cannot do anything other than make token gestures towards reversing the trend. And there you go with the debate-stifling racist ticket - how convenient and how easily you make such selective remarks. I can hardly be bothered to argue with you. You'll continue looking through your blinkers and doing everything you can to deflect the conversation from the real point. Which is to just name the foreign attackers who have shone in a City shirt! From what I've seen so far of our signings I'm sure I will have something to say about our latest imports. As for the "white" bit and the totally ignorant innuendo you put into that remark, I think I more than welcomed the prospect of Heskey's return, defended Gradel, Campbell and Porter to the nth degree and cannot imagine any player I'd rather have in a City shirt than Drogba, I just don't see the attraction or the return in importing foreign also-rans and will leave you now to change my mind by making your list of foreign stars we've had who've done so much better than their British predecessors! Because in my book new players to the club should be better than the ones we had before and our current situation - and our situation throughout recent years - doesn't suggest that's been the case at all, quite the contrary. PS: I don't care why players are injured or whose fault it is. They're no use to us injured whatever. I said the same about Clemence.

I'll leave you now to think of those foreign stars we've had! PS: I don't care why players are injured or whose fault it is. They're no use to us injured whatever. Just like Clemence and that Italian I mentioned. And all your excuses won't change that one bit. It seems to me you think all foreign players are crap. In my opinion there is just as much chance that a new player who happens to be from another country has as much chance of being a star as a British player. You have confused me by saying you like Drogba though. He's foreign!
artursteppe Posted 7 September 2010 Posted 7 September 2010 Hull press says Zayatte coming to us, and no-one going to Hull!
