Mike the Metal Ed Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 I was waiting for a friend at Starbucks in the Highcross one Thursday morning about a year ago, and I saw Bernie walk past. On a non-matchday! He was still wearing his trademark LCFC zip up top though.

AoWW Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 And what was your response to mr Grayson in exact words! That came out like an agressive boyfriend.what i meant was did you or didnt you,and if not did he sulk! Er, no, I didn't - I fancied one of his mates. And, yes, he did sulk. Never did manage to pull his mate, either.
turkish14 Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 tried to think of whome ive seen...... remember seeing callum davidson in marks and spencers on gallowtree gate years ago, had a druken chat with stearman in life just after he had left, seen stearz/mattock/weso going into the noodle bar on st nicolas circle, also seen weso in the observatory (he likes to eat out) but the best one was changing an electric meter at martin o neills former leicester appartment that he still owns (this was in april 2009) his wife geraldine was there,i told her to thank him for what he had done for leicester and she gave me £20 to put into my sons bank account a lovely lady.......

AoWW Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 And I bet you never shared a train compartment with Andy Feeley did you. I mean ANDY FOOKING FEELEY!!! I'm surprised you even noticed - what with falling asleep on trains, and missing your stop, being your speciality.
rico Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 got a cab from Braunstone Gate to town with Tony James and Paul Reid once too!
Suffolk_fox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 I'm surprised you even noticed - what with falling asleep on trains, and missing your stop, being your speciality. Oh, Touche!! Mind you, I was only about 14 then and therefore not hammered..... I was on my way to the game and so was he - but as a spectator as he was crocked at the time....
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Used to see Benji in Life when I was a student... also in Life a very pissed Matt Jones bought me a drink (post injury), and told Matt Heath once in Basement that the manager of the time who let him go (Levein?) was **** for doing so... haha he seemed quite embarrased and somewhat sickening he had a very nice lady on his arm... says a lot eh!!! Saw Kisnorbo, Henderson, Tiatto and most of the class of 06-07 in Liquid on student nights.... only coming down for £1.50 fake WKDs! Have you noticed a lot of these revolve around scenes in or around nightclubs...? Atheletes my arse!
haraven Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 I ran into John Carew with my shopping cart. Mine was full of beer, his was full of candy...
Head Honcho Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Not so much 'days out' but... Used to go clubbing with Ian Marshall in his Ipshite days. He threw up on my feet. Smuggled him into the Colchester Hippodrome (he'd been banned the week before for generally being a scruffy, gobby, Scouse drunkard). Used to go to school with Jamie Scowcroft - can't remember him though. Matt Elliot and mates squared up to some random bloke in Simpkins who was having a go at me. Simon Grayson tried to chat me up in Brannigans. And MoN bought me a drink and made polite conversation. Yeh sorry about that
Head Honcho Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 made my day to be honest. I never could work out which one was Dumb and which was Dumber!
MrSpaM Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 I used to deliver Muzzy Izzet's paper His dog tore every paper up that i put through the door almost instantly, i don't think he ever read any of them
Richard Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Met the whole city team at East Midlands Airport before a trip to Plymout a few years back. Can remember the person on the speakers saying a final call for passengers "Hammond, Odhiambo and Porter"
thybluefox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 A few of mine.... Elliotts kids used to go to Beachwood when I was at Linden in year 6 (before it turned into Greenfields). Chatted with James Scowcroft in the Yews once, towards the end of his career here though. And my favourite one which I only vaguely remember, met Steve Claridge in Fan Club last year! had a quick chat, hand shake and a photo! I look horrific, but fook it, its Steve!

thybluefox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 what was claridge doing in fan club last year? does he still live nearby? IIRC, it was the night he'd commented on a Derby game for the BBC (Friday night), I'm guessing he still lives near-by. As for what he was doing, mostly working his way through a large quantity of Red Stripe!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Peter Shilton held me when I was a baby.
redeyedwookie Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 For the norwich foxes and its kind of relevant to leicester cos he was nearly our manager and his son was our goalie for a good spell. Asked mike walker outside a chinese takeaway in old lakenham if he would play andrew cole for england if he was manager .he said no then drove off in from what i remeber was a jag so me and my norwich pals hurled some unwarranted abused at him mon was in charge there at the time .
stripeyfox Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 correct. oh and the footballers the one in the green shirt. wicked right foot on im, i'll tell you. Recognise that place anywhere. My lad would live there if he could. Presumably Tunchev was there with his kids, or did he just fancy eyeing up the Melton Single Mum's Club? (not nearly as attractive as it sounds btw)
stripeyfox Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Met Simon Grayson's brother in a toilet in Faliraki (not as dodgy as it sounds) Met Steve Claridge at a BBC Five Live Q&A thing at Loughborough Uni My Aunt met the England team and Bobby Robson at their hotel in Colorado Springs (where they were training for the 1986 World Cup) whilst failing to realise that they were in any way famous, and that a small momento of the meeting would be greatly appreciated by her nephew back in England. Also, and you can see I'm struggling here, met Darth Vader in Stan Horsley's Toy Shop in Melton (about 1983). And don't tell me he wasn't the real one!
haraven Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 Met Simon Grayson's brother in a toilet in Faliraki (not as dodgy as it sounds) To be fair, that is a bit dodgy mate. How did you open up that conversation so it would not be dodgy?
stripeyfox Posted 14 September 2010 Posted 14 September 2010 I had my City shirt on, and he saw it and told me his brother had just left us to join Villa. Then I accidentally slipped on some urine and entered him. It was entirely innocent.
