demon_dog Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 It's Monday night and I am currently in a hotel in Cardiff, I have a job to do in the morning just down the road. I then have a hotel booked Tuesday night near Dover for a job on Wednesday morning. Do I either a) Travel home after the job in Cardiff in order to see the City, THEN travel down to Dover after the match..................... or b) Travel directly from Cardiff to Dover and say sod the game. Your input would be much appreciated.
Unabomber Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Go to the game, it could be the best of the season...you never know.
1964FOX Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Flip a coin heads straight to Dover, tails you go to the match.
Wymsey Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Ask your wife, she will want to know where exactly you are going to be
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 You know either way will be the wrong decision.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Phone this number, 02938563823, it's the Leicester City FoxTravel helicopter flights. Run by some geezer called Top.
TuptonFox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 go to the game we need very person we can get to boost the attendance atm....
LCFC-ARAB Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 If you go it will end 0-0 if you don't go we will probably win 4-3 with a last minute winner so i say don't go
Jackirius Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Such a conundrum. When i find myself in these life and death situations i ask myself one question, what would jesus do? jk flip a coin or something.
stix Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Travel home tomorrow, watch the game. Go home to the missus, Get your end away then get a few hours kip and make yr way down to dover for half nine. If you can cancel the hotel that is.
syston_fox Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Sack the game off. No question. This. Best case scenario is that we win but then you are 100% knackered for your job making you more than miserable and you have wasted a fortune on petrol.
FrankieADZ Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 How much do you love ur job? and does it compare to how much u love the City? your choice
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 How about phoning the clubs up to see if you can get the game switched? Maybe if you left a 'coded message' trying to indicate there is a 'package' at the Walkers that might just work?
Houdini Logic Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Go to Dover and use the money you save on petrol to buy you a years subscription to FoxesPlayer. Buy a massive bag of cashews and spend the evening lying on the hotel bed throwing nuts at Ian Stringer on the (internet) radio and a mixture of Man U and Rangers players on the TV
Matt Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 In the past i've done 18 hour days, come home after working in London then been up at 5am again in the morning to be off to go back to do work and stuff, but not gone to a Leicester game inbetween, don't think i'd want too depends how long your job in Cardiff tomorrow morning takes, if it's literally just a mornings worth of work and you'll be finished up by midday then i'd probably go and watch the game and get up early in the morning ready to be off to Dover but if it was a full days work and you're not going to be finished till late afternoon (In which case you'd probably struggle to get back to Leicester) then I probably wouldn't bother.

Chairman of the Bored Posted 13 September 2010 Posted 13 September 2010 Read "The Diceman" by Luke Reinhart and start adoptng his logic. That is....spin the die. Trouble is, you'll end up in prison for murder but you will have fun along the way.

I'm guessing stay away and go straight to Dover because they won, which is what I'm concsoling myself with considering I didn't go to a game that I actually had the opportunity to for a change.

In one respect I was lucky in that the job in Cardiff was finished by 1.00pm. Decided to drive home and go to the game. At half time thought I had made the wrong decision as I thought we were poor for the first 45 mins. We only seemed to go threequarters of the way up the pitch and back again! Second half justified my decision though. Thanks Kingy. Had a good journey to Dover arriving 1.00am. Good job it's a company car and the fuel is paid for! Now for my next problem, I'm in the Canary Islands on Sat. 2nd when we play Scunny what would you do? Oh could ask Top for the Copter..........................
