kingfox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Poulter saves Europe all down to him that were still in this. Quality golf, absolute quality.
Jordan Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 The only thing uglier than Ian Poulter's shoes today was Europe's putting... except for Poulter's. The bastard always finds a way against us. I'm still quite pleased with a 10-6 lead and I don't think we will rue Stricker hitting the lip on his birdie on 18 for the half on Sunday evening. Tiger woke up on the back nine, but an 18-hole effort tomorrow won't hurt.
Guest MattP Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Enjoyed watching some of it today I can't get into golf properly though. Does seem a bit of a joke mind when people are getting 10 feet of back spin our the "rough" - who selects the courses?
FoxyPV Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 The captains. Davis Love had the corse tailored to his players strengths - a long, wide course with little rough. In saying that, the Americans have just outplayed the Europeans.

Mack Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 This is long gone and lost sadly. Pouter is a very good golfer but and epic tool.
Leicester Lass Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 No chance of a comeback in my opinion. The Americans are more or less all on form individually, we needed a lead coming into the singles to stand any chance. Our putting has been nothing less than abysmal and our big guns aren't firing apart from Poults, who is always a different animal in the Ryder Cup. Credit to the Americans, they've been outstanding.
Ric Flair Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 There is little reason to believe Europe can still win this or at least retain the cup. There's been minimal fight from our team bar Poulter's herculian efforts and Colsaerts has been superb too. Garcia and Donald seem to be capable of turning it on at times but the rest it seems flat. Westwood is in horrible nick, I hope he finds a way of being able to putt today otherwise he could get annihilated again. Once USA get the crowd behind them, they are formidable and this was how Europe were in the last 10 years. Having said that, we still do have a lot of quality in the side. Without taking any form in to it from the last 2 days we are still capable of winning 8 out of 12 singles matches on our day. It's an outside shot but who knows? Can't wait for it, that's for sure.
Bert Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 The course was set up to favour the yanks. My only gripe is that they need learn how to win with a bit of dignity, especially Keegan Bradley. Gonna be an interesting day. Predicting a Yanks win 18-10.
Jordan Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Rory has only just rolled into Medinah minutes before his tee time... Apparently, he is hung over forgot he was in the Central time zone and thought his tee time was an hour later!
Tom17LCFC Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Missed almost all of this annoyingly. Got a really weird feeling that we're gonna top the comeback of comebacks and actually steal it!! Odds of 11/2 on PP atm.
Bert Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Nerves creeping in on the wanks. Going all the way I think.
Jordan Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Barney Stinson is about to get the first point of the day, but I think the U.S. is gonna be just fine.
leicsmac Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 American crowds Fvcking disgrace. Which is a shame because most of their golfers are quite classy.
Jordan Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 American crowds Fvcking disgrace. Which is a shame because most of their golfers are quite classy. Oh, please.
Leicester Lass Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Putting is going to cost us again. Can't keep missing putts from inside 4 feet.
purpleronnie Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Oh, please. we dont like people shouting, it makes us frightened. I'm scarrrreeedd.
leicsmac Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 Oh, please. Don't mind the shouting and chanting - part of the tournament and you need atmosphere. Do mind the wankers in the crowd shouting out and making abusive comments just as Europe players line up shots.

Jimothy Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 The shouting doesn't bother me at all. It's the idiots shouting "Get in the hole" when the ball is visibly rolling away from the whole. It can't go in the hole, it's a physical impossibility, stop ****ing shouting! EDIT: Although the one's booing Donald pretty much ever shot he takes can **** off. Show some class. Supporting your team is fine, booing the opposition for just having the audacity to be there is pretty poor.
leicsmac Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 diddums. Fair enough mate, we obviously disagree and I don't care to argue. Perhaps the Europe guys should invest in a set of earplugs each?
