Donut Posted 27 September 2012 Posted 27 September 2012 Very excited about the ryder cup as golf nut. I reckon the US will edge it by 1 point, but itll be a fantastic contest. TheUS individually are on somepretty hot form. Friday morning foursomes pairings werent too out of the ordinary. Mickelson and Bradley are buddies and play a lot of practice rounds together so that was always going to be a pairing, as was woods and stricker who play well together. The zach/dufner partnership was a little left field though, thatll be interesting. Not too many surprises from Ollie. Poulter and Rose was a certainty.....Westwood and Molinari is an interesting one, should be some solid ball striking on show there. Im interested who Ollie will pair Colsaerts up with...........Mark Roe reckoned westwood but i dont see it. Id actually go with a fourball partnership of Colsaerts and Lawrie, Colsaerts with the aggressive power to bring par 5's to their knees combined with chippy's short game and putting touch, i think they could dovetail quite well in fourballs. Not too surprised Colsaerts wont be in the foursomes Then again you can always pair 2 good putters up in fourballs to eek out birdies..........possibilities............... anyway, itl be a GREAT contest (side note: shouting mashed potato is no funnier the 20th time youve heard it from a US golf lout ''fan'')

foxesfan1989 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Cant WAIT for this. Getting ready to cheer on a bunch of Irish, Danes, and Swedes. Feel dirty already, bring it on.
Ric Flair Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Just heading up the boozer now to watch it, work can fook off. 5 hour lunch. This is my WORLD CUP.
purpleronnie Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 The only thing more irritating than American golf fans yelling is British golf fans whining incessantly about American golf fans yelling. What came first? Chicken? Egg?
foxesfan1989 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 What came first? Chicken? Egg? Neither...it was the MASHED POTATOOOOSSSSSSS.
ScouseFox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Good start. McDowell and Rory on fire. 1 up in everything, so far.
kingfox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Keegan Bradley's on fire for the US. Not a good start in the fourballs.
Leicester Lass Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Think Ollie will regret leaving Garcia, Donald and Poulter out of the same session. Americans on fire in fourballs.
Bert Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 The only thing more irritating than American golf fans yelling is British golf fans whining incessantly about American golf fans yelling. Typical Yank
Mack Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 That David Love The Turd is one weird bloke. The septics are winning and I'm fully expecting some more fake water works.
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Taking a pasting in the 4 balls......go on get the puns going
Vacamion Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Taking a pasting in the 4 balls......go on get the puns going Colsaerts is "very long" and Phil Mick "does everything else right handed"....

Can you distribute printed out sheets of these outside the course please? http://thesaurus.com/browse/awesome
Jordan Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 What came first? Chicken? Egg? The more you bitch, the worse we're gonna be... Typical Yank Heh. Can you distribute printed out sheets of these outside the course please? http://thesaurus.com/browse/awesome Tiger's sitting out the morning session on Saturday because he pretty much sat out both sessions today. All things considered, USA has got to be thrilled with 5-3 after the first day. Europe did a good job this week playing down their chances and lowering expectations for what is a pretty good squad--I think there will still be plenty to play for on Sunday.
purpleronnie Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 The more you bitch, the worse we're gonna be... Thats rather childish.
Simmo86 Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Simpson/Watson v Poulter/Rose Bradley/M'son v W'wood/Donald Dufner/Z Johnson v C'saerts/Garcia Furyk/Snedeker v McIlroy/McDowell Saturdays foursomes. If the Simpson/Watson and Bradley/Mickelson pairings carry on where they left off yesterday we could be facing a massive mountain to climb!
goose2010 Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Loving some of the messages paddy power are flying over so far "Rory's gonna get you" and "Europe have better hair" tweet them in and if they like it they will fly over the coarse with it
kingfox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Player of the Ryder Cup so far has to be Keegan Bradley, yes his celebrations are cocky, but he is enjoying himself so much, keeping his cool and is playing great golf. Lee Westwood has had a shocker, knew he would, if it wasn't for Colsaerts last night we would be 6-2 down.
Super_horns Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Mickelson and Bradley really taking Westwood and Donald apart but pretty tight otherwise. Feel we've got to be at least level tonight though.
ScouseFox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 Luke Donald just played a fúcking sensational shot under all sorts of pressure on 17. Shit that was good.
ScouseFox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 And Poults putts a monster to go 1 up in that game too. Hold on in both of these and we go in 4 behind when it could very easily have been 6, maybe 7.
Tielemans63 Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 You have to hand to the Yanks - they've been awesome.
ScouseFox Posted 29 September 2012 Posted 29 September 2012 yeahhh Stricker misses and we get a point. 1 up on the 18th in the last match, huge chance to get off lightly at 10-6 considering how well the Americans have played today. Probably still too much to do but it's better than 11-5. Poulter is playing like a God, too.
