It's (maybe) sven.

I don't know what to say...I'm gobsmacked...both at the sacking and the speculation about our new manager.

I'm just in total headspin.

We're a bloody mad club.

Watch out Rusty Lee.

Didn't she marry Jimmy Nail? lol

I don't know why but Sven seems like a disappointment, maybe because my hopes were raised by the thought of an O'Neill return.

Sven is undoubtedly a good manager, but let's be honest he hasn't achieved an awful lot in the past years other than an increasingly large bank balance.

Two things are for sure, it'll create a buzz and it will most certainly won't be dull!

My thoughts exactly.

No-one can really argue against Sven's domestic managerial record, particularly pre England. Having said that, the worry is he is now simply a mercenary and failure could lead this club into a terminal decline.

I would rather appoint an up and coming manager (Poyet), however, we know about our boards propensity to **** up royally when it comes to managerial appointments, in which case it's hard to be too disappointed with Sven.

World falling apart for the Thai investors, dont honestly think that Sven will be the answer, although the profile's high enough. Sooner have seen an up and comer whos trying to make his way up the ladder, Sven's rich enough not to give two monkeys

The bookies favourite never gets the City job

So it's Martin.

Apart from when Sousa was appointed

IF it is Sven the first signings will undoubtedly be loan signings from prem clubs, a couple of decent signings and the one time England manager might well boost dressing room confidence

Been trawling posts on here all morning and this post is almost certainly the most sensible!

Well done mate

I'd be a minor miracle should Sven Eriksson stay for more than just four months...

Milan Mandaric can make every man(ager) cringe with fear, even Chuck Norris wouldn't stand a chance.

Oh my, it's never boring being a Leicester City fan.

yes please to this, really hope this is the outcome and i'm looking at this in a similar positive way. i'm fairly happy with this if it is in fact true (really could do with the club coming out with an official statement ASAP with all the rumour flying around today!!)

Now we've got 11 players on the pitch and a Playyyyya on the touchline.

Hopefully he does a good job and sticks around for a while. Not sure he willt though. This could be great.

If i remeber correctly, back in the days under Taylor Sven used to talk very highly about Leicester as a club in the media. And if i'm not mistaken wasn't he then one who got Manchini to come and play for us? If he did, which i think is correct, props to Sven i say.

yeah, I remember that

Best thing to happen to this club for some time if true.

Although it sounds like Sven is a done deal... People are now mentioning Brian Robson - as he's the manager of the Thai national team there is the connection

Although he achieved nothing with the best chairman in the world at M'boro, so I'd prefer Sven

Whats the problem here?

Would the moaners rather we be linked with the usual suspects Dowie, Reid etc. We were never going to get O'Neill back, get over it already.
