It's (maybe) sven.

King speaking on SSN, hardly stood up for Sousa... I got the impression he was pleased

That's surprising in a way, because him, along with Dyer, are the only ones who seem to be showing form from last season.

It will be a world known football manager.

The Thais want to fill the back of the Bangkok post, they bought the club for self and buisiness promotion as Milan and all other club owners do.

Sven is obviously well known and has got all of his jobs of late because of this rather than his ability.

Be amazed if its an up and coming manager, mentallity in the far east is to employ masters of industry at any cost.

MON on a daft 3-5 mil a year would pay for it self with a couple of good signings, fingers crossed it goes that way, walking out will of reduced his options.

Only way is up regardless

King's just been saying that the players can only 'get on with it on the pitch'. SSN reporter is at the training ground stating that will be big changes in the next 24-48 hours. Says that Sven could potentially be at the game tomorrow. All gone quiet on the MON front...

I'm actually pretty excited about this if it happens.

Are people seriously saying no to Sven? Are you ****ing mental?

As I've said, people listen to what newspapers think rather than looking at what he can do. People label him just interested in money, it's not his fault teams who have money throw some his way to become their manager. There is a very good reason they do so... because he is a good manager.

He's a very good manager, and was for us as well (england)

But of late he and what with the Notts Co fiasco, I think the circus picture above sums it up well

Got to remember he wasnt really the manager their though, think he was just making decisions with signings etc, which worked out pretty good for county.

If he's managing us properly (not like his appointment at notts) then i think he's got every chance of being succesful here.

Still hoping for o'neil though

Yes, this!

Whatever they 'lose' by sinking money into us, they can gain by the constant self promotion back home if & when we're more successful

As long as we don't get cast iron evidence that O'Neill wanted the job and we've gone with Sven, I cannot see how people can be seriously disappointed with the appointment of Sven.

You simply cannot argue with his achievements at a much higher level than us. It's right to be mildly concerned that he has no experience in the lower leagues in English football, but his overall record earns him the right at a shot in my eyes.

If a manager of his calibre wants to take over, given he's the opportunity of £1.5 million a year in the sunshine with that Arabian team then it's clear to see he's unfinished business in English football.

The level of stick that he got when he was with England, and i'm not talking about his off fields antics has proven to be very harsh, given what McClaren and Capello have achieved with arguably a better set of players and the fact we're very close to getting an ex-England manager when we are bottom of the league is sensational.

There's no guarantee that it will work, but it should give the club and fans a huge lift. Chris Powell will certainly be loving it and that's good enough for me.

I agree. I think it will work in our favour the fact he may have a point to prove and what would be better than taken a club bottom of the Championship to the Premiership in 2 years!! He has had terrible press but the fact is he is a top manager and after reading more about him, it seems that he is popular at nearly every club he has been, with talk of players striking and many "Save Sven" campaigns!!!

MON was always a long shot and I think he has bigger fish to fry unfortunately. Sven has the Xfactor, which is maybe something we need to get us to the Prem!!! :scarf:

Sven will certainly appeal to young premierleague players, I can see a lot more players wanting to join our club with him in charge. Also think about the links he must have, he's internationally known. Don't get me wrong I'd still prefer MON but I'd be happy with Sven.

Sven will raise the profile of the club tremendously . As far as experience goes he’s done it all. He'll command respect from our young group of players too and hopefully win us some football matches
