Now we've got 11 players on the pitch and a Playyyyya on the touchline.

Hopefully he does a good job and sticks around for a while. Not sure he willt though. This could be great.

Sven never wilts.

im actually quite excited about the appointment the MON appointment was never gonna happen in all honestly ....

I wasnt expecting SVEN though tbh we could of done alot worse for a start he is ex england manager and can hopefully attract the right kinda player we need

so heres to the next 2 months sven if you last that long

It's a coup but Sven is hardly known for his long term commitments.

I just hope it's Sven because MON turned us down, not that we have turned MON down.

Whats the problem here?

Would the moaners rather we be linked with the usual suspects Dowie, Reid etc. We were never going to get O'Neill back, get over it already.

I just find the whole idea of appointing a manager based on how well his name carries abroad to be a little uncomfortable.

I hope this doesn't all go tits up. I just read that Sven had already agreed to join another club. Loyalty was obviously a question mark already but reading that has made me even more nervous. It's gonna be totally pointless if he disappears after 5 months but hey-ho it could have been Bryan Robson so I'm staying positive.

I'd be a minor miracle should Sven Eriksson stay for more than just four months...

Milan Mandaric can make every man(ager) cringe with fear, even Chuck Norris wouldn't stand a chance.

Oh my, it's never boring being a Leicester City fan.

Don't be silly. Here are the reasons why.

The problem we have with the selection of the next manager is that Sven will be recognised as more of a household name to the Thai owners than MON, due to where they hail from - due to Sven's exploits with England. He would be better known more so that O'Neill was for what he did for with us, Celtic and Villa. Although it all went t**s up for Sven at Man City if I recall correctly? and then at Notts County a year ago? If not Pardew or O'Neill then Sven would be an excellent choice though due to his coaching, his team around him, his enthusiasm and hard work ethic -and hopefully not just a quick fix........

Fc.uk sake you can nver please anyone

We had bloomin' Frank Farmer Burrows in charge a couple of years back and now some moaners are chocking over their Lunch that they dont want Sven? I mean come on this is an unreal coup for the club, he's a bigger name than MON and were bottom of the 2nd Division of English football.

Not to say I wouldn't want MON in charge, someone started the bandwagon that he was coming back and everyone jumped on it. Sounds like the wheels of that short ride have come off and as soon as it's been announced than the swedish shagger is onboard people act like they are on a comedown off ketamine.

Would be happy with Sven. Never understood why the English underrate him. He's great at club level and wasn't even bad for England.

agreed it seems to be a good appointment.

World falling apart for the Thai investors, dont honestly think that Sven will be the answer, although the profile's high enough. Sooner have seen an up and comer whos trying to make his way up the ladder, Sven's rich enough not to give two monkeys

um, like sousa, you mean

at least he knows chrissy p from his england days so lets hope he stays

yes, to continue his sterling work on our defensive capabilities :crylaugh:

Sven would be spot on if true!!! People are gonna moan on here if alf Ramsey came back from the dead and came here

Well, at least he'd be able to teach them players something about (de)composition.
