MattyFromLE Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Right, my dad, knows someone who has an inside ear at the Walkers. A few mutters of having the above on loan through Eriksson's links. Anybody else heard this? By the way it's just something he's heard - he's no journalist so i can't be sure on how reliable the source is.
Uncle Monty Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 An England squad player at Leicester? I would love this to happen but I think, sadly, it is complete an utter twaddle.
sw_fox Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Who needs Given and Wright-Phillips when we have Weale and Dyer :scarf:
Messi Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Dyer on Left, Wright-Phillips on the right, Kingy and Wellens in the middle would be an amazing midfield But I doubt very much this will happen though
MattyFromLE Posted 7 October 2010 Author Posted 7 October 2010 Didn't say it was gospel did i again, i think its also highly unlikely - just didn't know if any of you guys who have decent "sources" could clear it up
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 I don't get why it is that unlikely really. Neither getting in the Man City team and both players who wont be happy with sitting on the bench. Plus theres the whole 'don't want to loan/sell to a rival' thing. Leicester might be about their best bet without going abroad.
1964FOX Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Off the topic, but I do know a source from inside the club that told me Pearson only disliked DJ so much because he was shagging his daughter Pearson was shagging DJ's daughter, no wonder he got chucked out.................Dirty Bastard!!!!!!!!!!!!
Messi Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Hahaha, perhaps I should have worded it abit better. I kind of made Pearson sound like Gary Glitter haha

They,d never drop down to championship level plus we wouldnt be able to afford there wages
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 They,d never drop down to championship level plus we wouldnt be able to afford there wages I know he had an additional incentive in that its his home town but the same could have been assumed about both points in the Cardiff-Bellamy deal. Particularly the point about the money side of the arrangement. We could perhaps offer to pay 50% of their wages. It would still be 50% less Man City would have to fork out for dead wood.

Even at only 50% we'd still be paying them more than our highest paid players earn.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 Even at only 50% we'd still be paying them more than our highest paid players earn. True but the new owners are 'aspirational' apparently. That's how Cardiff justifed the Bellamy deal.
MPH Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 We need the transfer foorum back open, me thinks.... all the decent threads are being bumped down...
Adster Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 No-one thought sol campbell would drop to league 2 level but he did.
Bob Farley Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010 I read that liverpool want to sign wright phillips.

Fosse Boy Posted 7 October 2010 Posted 7 October 2010  I share this cautious optimism surrounding these deals.
