Manwell Pablo Posted 19 October 2010 Author Posted 19 October 2010 There are only a selection of clubs big enough for him in the prem Man city, people say he wont go there, I dont think the rivalry will put him off Arsenal, cant afford him Chelsea, do they want him Real Madrid, got enough strikers Barca, maybe, but would he eat the food? Its ok wanting out, but wanting out and finding a club who want him and can afford him are 2 different things I don't think he will care for a second, this is the lad who was born Everton, bred Everton, once a blue always a blue, until someone pays me 6 figures a week then'll kiss their badge in front of the same supporters I used to sit with as a kid at Goodison! He couldn't give two fecks!

Arsenal could buy him if they wanted to...they are arguably the wealthiest club in the country now (excluding benefactors) but that wealth has been generated by refusing to pay large fees and wages. However he would walk into their side, give them something they haven't got and provide an incentive for players like Fabregas not to leave. Chelsea don't need him but could look at him as a long term investment. Both Anelka and Drogba aren't going to be around for much longer. While Chelsea are trying to become self sufficient they may see this as worth the gamble. This is perhaps the worst move for Rooney...not sure if the influence of Terry and Cole would be particularly beneficial.

Well said, its about time they signed a player capable of getting them in real title contention.
Collier Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 He'll go to Man City, can't see a Champions League club wanting to pay all that much for him considering he'd be cup tied, and I don't think he has all that much desire to move abroad. I'd love him to wind up at Real Madrid though. Either way, it's funny shit to read on Facebook when ManYoo fans completely forget the service he's given them over the past six or so years and get all wound up.
mancunianfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I think Ferguson might actually explode if Rooney ends up at Real. Feeder club??
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 But how much is 'all that money'. He'll only have one year left on his contract, has stated his desire to leave and I think (but am not 100% sure) that the contract rules would allow him to buy himself out for about £5 million?
StanSP Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I think Ferguson might actually explode if Rooney ends up at Real. Feeder club?? His blood will be boiling if he went to City.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 His blood will be boiling if he went to City. Hopefully it'll kill the twat off.
Samilktray Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Hopefully it'll kill the twat off. What a cuntish thing to say.
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 October 2010 Author Posted 19 October 2010 What a cuntish thing to say. Moderators decision. Fair comment, sorry.
Sly Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I think Top should slap in a cheeky bid, purchased him on a 5 year deal, then sell him for more money than we paid.
lavrentis Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Woudn't mind him going abroad if it means he will perform better for England.
Corky Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I am surprised by all this, didn't see it coming. He'll go to Man City or a big foreign club.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 He might go abroad now, I am sure he'd like his private life a little more private. If he goes abroad, could you imagine Wayne Rooney trying to learn spanish for example? I think he'll stop in England. Chelsea/Man City/Arsenal are all fair shouts. Maybe even Spurs, Or he could even annoy Everton fans even more by moving to Liverpool, Replacement for Torres?

If he went to Real there would be a number of english speaking palyers there already as well as an englsih speaking manager.
sdb Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 something along those lines! seriously though i'm finding it hard picturing him elsewhere. can't see him in europe. can't see utd selling him to city or chelsea. doesn't really leave many options.
mancunianfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Imagine the perma-sunburn if he went to Spain?
Guest Bilo Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 One thing that wouldn't shock me is a swap deal with another club. In order to assuage their fans annoyance, Man U may want to offset the departures of Ronaldo and Rooney in quick succession by bringing in a new player as part of a deal that sends Rooney the other way. Kaka hasn't had a great time at Real and it wouldn't be a massive surprise. Probably suit all parties actually.
Finnegan Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 LA Galaxy. As for the Kaka shout, I'd DEFINITELY take Kaka over Rooney.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 As for the Kaka shout, I'd DEFINITELY take Kaka over Rooney. He's been a bit of a flop at Real but anyone who saw him take Man United apart in the 2007 CL Semi-Final will know that he could molest the Premiership on form. That would be one hell of a deal and, as I've stated, probably suit all parties pretty well.
