SarbannesFoxley Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Players who could/should/would of been City legends had they been at the club longer: Kevin Campbell - him and Paul Moran got us out of trouble Martin Fulop - great keeper, Roy Keane priced us out the market Mark Davies - s**t hot, gone before we could make up a chant Arnar Gunnlaugsson - never got going Roberto Mancini - nuff said

Zingari Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 i wish Gerry Daly had have stayed longer , very classy player
davieG Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 i wish Gerry Daly had have stayed longer , very classy player Daly, Campbell and Izzet got to be the best 3 loanees we've ever had.
Cat Burger Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Gareth Williams. He made Matt Le Tissier look like Ji-Sung Park! (referring to work rate)
MPH Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Sitting on the bog at work so limited time. Joachim. Showed so much promise and potential. I understand he is now a courier driver. Neil lewis. Broke through and was labelled as skillful with bags of potential. Not sure what happened to him...
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Ben Thatcher, was a great left back, albeit for one season.
ithuriel Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 O'niell knocked Thatcher on the head after interveiwing him for a possible signing when we first went up, in the interveiw he asked Thatcher about his clubs goalkeeper. Thatcher said the goalkeeper was not good enough, that keeper was kasey keller who O'niell signed anyway
RobHawk Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Mike Galloway! - Horrible end to his carrer but he looked brilliant in the few games he played for us!
shen Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Well Ferdinand was class while he was here. A shame we got him that late in his career... and that we got relegated!
ithuriel Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Cant remember the name, exciting forward we sold to sunderland when we were relegated and who at sunderland picked up an injury that basically finished his career. Matt Piper ?
RobHawk Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Cant remember the name, exciting forward we sold to sunderland when we were relegated and who at sunderland picked up an injury that basically finished his career. Matt Piper ? Correct!
Carlos9 Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Markus Bent was a class act when he was at us! I'll never forget his goal against Charlton for us.
AoWW Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Clive Clarke - for obvious reasons. A career ended far too early.
MrSpaM Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Clive Clarke - for obvious reasons. A career ended far too early. Heard in an interview with him that he should play again, so it's not all bad
Fox92 Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Gareth Williams - he was my favourite player at the time. I always remember my first visit to Nottingham Forest and he got hammered on his return. Anyway, he was a gifted player. His first touch and control was awesome and he would never missplace a pass. In fact, he was described as 'the best passer' whilst he was at Nottingham Forest. And I know he didn't score too many goals, but his goals were always good goals - I'll always remember his goal against Norwich at Carrow Road, and that one he struck from about 35 yards away at Bolton. If only he would have got stuck in a little bit more, I think he would have been a fantastic player. That doesn't take away the fact that, technically, he is a very gifted footballer.
RobHawk Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Darren Eadie would have been brilliant if not for injuries!!
Filbert's Friend Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 worryingly, Ade Akinbiyi started scoring goals after he left us! Cant remember where he went... was it stoke?
Corky Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 It's a shame Tom Cleverley had to leave early due to injury, was looking promising. Agree with Darren Eadie, such a disappointment he had to retire too soon because of injuries.
accessory Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 worryingly, Ade Akinbiyi started scoring goals after he left us! Cant remember where he went... was it stoke? Palace.
Salieri Posted 26 October 2010 Posted 26 October 2010 Darren Eadie would have been brilliant if not for injuries!! He is one who immediately sprung to mind for me. On his day a fantastic player, sadly injuries robbed him of a large chunk of his career.
