MPH Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Leicester City Football Club is delighted to announce the return of the 'Fans Fixture' to the Walkers Stadium, ahead of the exciting Christmas period.Following an absence of a club-initiated supporter-focused match over recent seasons, the forthcoming home npower Championship clash against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday December 11th, 3pm kick-off, has been designated as a 'Fans Fixture'. Adult tickets start at just £6, under-18 tickets at just £4 and under-8s at just £1. Various discounts and special offers have been introduced, aimed at increasing the attendance and aiding the matchday atmosphere, whilst crucially rewarding Leicester City supporters for their loyalty during the recent difficult economic period and the club's difficult start to the season. Executive Director, Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn, has instigated this decision, having been impressed with the Foxes faithful since his acquisition of the club. He said: "Our supporters are the lifeblood of our great club and we wanted to give this modest thank you for their overwhelming support and loyalty to Leicester City." He added: "The atmosphere within the Walkers Stadium for the 2-0 win over Derby County was electric. I, like everyone else associated with Leicester City Football Club, want every game to be as close to that as possible, if not better. Hopefully, the 'Fans Fixture' is a chance to fill the stadium for another memorable day for the club." The decision to recreate the 'Fans Fixture' is also part of the wider objective of club sponsor, King Power, to engage and communicate with Leicester City supporters about their club. Raksriaksorn is keen to put the Leicester City supporters at the forefront of his ambitions for the club, ensuring that the matchday experience is second-to-none, in line with the recent on-field improvements since the appointment of manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson. Raksriaksorn said: "We want to return Leicester City to the Premier League and to achieve this we need good performances and results on the field, and great support off the field." He added: "There is no doubt in my mind that we have shown recent signs of improvement, and that we can work collectively to accomplish our goals. The 'Fans Fixture' is just one of many initiatives we are keen to implement for the benefit of our supporters in the coming months." The impact of the supporters during the victory over Derby County was also noticed by Sven-Goran Eriksson, who was quick to praise the City supporters and urge them to create another 'special' atmosphere for the 'Fans Fixture' against Doncaster Rovers. "The supporters made a real difference against Derby and the players and staff were very grateful for that. Now we need to try and make the Walkers Stadium 'special' for every game, starting with the next home match against Nottingham Forest and then the 'Fans Fixture' against Doncaster Rovers. "Since joining the club, the fans have been marvellous and I hope that our recent form has been at least a small reward for their terrific support. However, we have a great deal of hard work ahead and will need their help and backing throughout, so we need to fill the stadium for the 'Fans Fixture' and get the three points." For further updates on the 'Fans Fixture' and the views of the players and staff on how important the City supporters are to the club, visit www.lcfc.com in the coming days and weeks for updates. lcfcadam Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 That's an epically not bad offer from the club given the usual complete lack of common sense regarding ticket prices...
Guest Bilo Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Decent offer this to get fans in the ground for what could otherwise be a fairly unattractive fixture. Common sense from Leicester City? What's next?
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Can't say fairer than that really. If we don't get 30k that day then we never will.
darko2k7 Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Awesome, this is perfect for those of us saving our money for Christmas
Walshy5 Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 I got a birthday offer in the post for this game today for £10 so thats useless now Wonder if they,ll let me change it for another game
Ashley Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Yeah fair enough offering cheap tickets to fans but how is that fair on us season ticket holders? We shed out 100s of pounds before the season actually starts and leicester do this?
Corky Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Keep on winning and climbing the table and there should be a great attendance. Good on the club for doing this.
sapalmer Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Yeah fair enough offering cheap tickets to fans but how is that fair on us season ticket holders? We shed out 100s of pounds before the season actually starts and leicester do this? As a season ticket for donkeys of years I would gladly see a full stadium every week with these offers - the club season tickets are good value. At last the club does something positive and people still complain. Would you prefer 20k with a poor atmosphere or 30K+ with a great atmosphere. I hope that they do more offers and lets get the stadium full every week - even if it means that as a season ticket holder we are slightly worse off

Ashley Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 It's one game mate. Personally I'd rather see the ground close to full every match. I'd like to see the ground full every game, it used to look good the season we got promoted and was in the premier league.
Bryn Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Nice enough gesture, might try and get down for it
ozleicester Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Will be going to this game now... wasnt going to but...bargain. Thanks Top
Wymsey Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Hope Fryatt will still play for us then and get 2/3 goals and wind that cvnt Brian Stock up after what he did.
m00nie Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 I got a birthday offer in the post for this game today for £10 so thats useless now Wonder if they,ll let me change it for another game yea they usually do.. they dont do birthday offers on every game tho so it would have to be the next one they do it on.. just say to them you allready had tickets for that game so could you use on another..
Guest Bilo Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 The ST prices are for additional tickets, so if you want to bring a mate with you it'll only cost £6. The Non-ST price of £10 is what someone can get a ticket for if they don't have a mate with a ST. £10 is dirt cheap to be fair.
Kitchandro Posted 18 November 2010 Posted 18 November 2010 Sorry but i've been looking at this for ages now. I am probably just being a tard. Why do season ticket holders need to buy a ticket ? And why are there two different prices? I think It's so you can buy tickets for friends and family
