Ashley Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Just call the game off, luck at the amount of millions of pounds on the pitch in Leicesters squad, the insurance won't pay out if anything happens to them.
stripeyfox Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Remember portsmouth away about ten years ago in the rain? That should've been abandoned but wasn't and was even less likely to be after we'd gone 2-0 up
Matt Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Wat happens if game gets called of during second half do Ipswich win Rematch, and although I'll be happy I'll also be cringing and hugely embarrassed by how are players have performed by the sounds of things. I think a result stands when a game is abandonded after the 80th minute but not sure on that. What we going to do if it get abandoned? Give 3 goals to them ala Forest in the Carling Cup?!
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 probably not his style but sven should tell a few of the lads to take a fall in the opening minutes of the second half. couple of faked injuries wouldnt go amiss either.
fatmando Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 I will stick needles through my cock if Sven sends the side out before Ipswich do. I probably won't.
Ozwin Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Definately need some Wellens play acting to get this one called off.
wurmer Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Atwell is an idiot - it's still snowing, extra 5 minutes won't make any difference.
nickelbyfox Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Gotta be called off, its ridiculous! Embarrassing but the pitch is a state
zubi Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Remember portsmouth away about ten years ago in the rain? That should've been abandoned but wasn't and was even less likely to be after we'd gone 2-0 up I remember that, that was like playing in a swimming pool...
Babylon Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 What we going to do if it get abandoned? Give 3 goals to them ala Forest in the Carling Cup?! Nah, if it's played in decent weather we'd just beat them fair and square... rather than the team not going snow blind getting three points like today.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 ive got a really good stream btw if anyone is struggling. http://atdhe.net/30938/watch-ipswich-town-vs-leicester-city
orangecity23 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Just found this ( http://www.footballforums.net/forums/showthread.php/231089-Rules-on-Abandonment ) while looking for rules on what time the score stands if a game is abandonment - a bunch of Ipswich fans laughing when their game was called off with the Farm goons 4-0 down. Come on irony, do your thing ...
Babylon Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Any bets that if they were 3-0 down there would have been one man on the pitch with a brush. Just pile the snow up on the goal line Chris.
ScouseFox Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 That Forest game was different circumstances, they agreed to call it off due to the illness of one of our players. The weather has nothing to do with us, so we would start from 0-0 i'd assume.
stripeyfox Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 I remember that, that was like playing in a swimming pool... Couldn't have been any wetter if I'd jumped in the solent after the game
eye666 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Surely giving an extra 5 minutes to clear snow is cheating as well?! This is bollocks. Game should never have started.
Dylan Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Rematch, and although I'll be happy I'll also be cringing and hugely embarrassed by how are players have performed by the sounds of things. I think a result stands when a game is abandonded after the 80th minute but not sure on that. What we going to do if it get abandoned? Give 3 goals to them ala Forest in the Carling Cup?! Nope we wouldnt give them 3 goals, cause that was abandoned due to a heart attack if I remember right- so different circumstances. I am sure we wouldnt be losing 3-0 if the weather/conditions were normal.
zubi Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Ugh whats the point, the body langauge of our players says it all...
EnglishOxide Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Disappointed in the amount of people calling for this to be called off. It's the same for both teams. The ball isn't moving as badly as a waterlogged pitch. We should adapt - pure and simple. We all go on about footballers being too soft and games called off too easily. To berate the referee when he's giving the game, the crowd and our away fans a chance just because we are losing is total bollocks. If it was 3-0 the other way, 90% of you wouldn't be saying what you are saying. If it was unplayable Ipswich wouldn't have scored three goals. Fair play to the ref i say.
Guest shearfox Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 God this ain't football, kick and run more like and Ipswich are just better at it.

But if it was 0-0 i'm pretty sure most people would want it off, it's a joke and the balls started sticking now
carterfox90 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 the game now is about money & sky ------not common sense the ref must have had a large brown bag gave him from sky but to be honest its the same for both teams ours just arnt up to it
