Ipswich Town away Post-Match Thread

Shit.

A farce, a comedy on snow.

The game was only continued because of the TV broadcast. Money, money, ****ing money.

And Ipswich would've lost too much in ticket sales, too.

First half, though, Ipswich were by far the better team.

Questions have to be asked as to how Sven prepares our lot for away travels.

The conditions were exactly the same for both starting elevens, yet the Foxes could never get it started.

Always a step too late, seemed distinctly disinterested.

****ing history repeating. Our away record is ****ing abysmal, if not the worst of the entire league!

What a joke. If only I could laugh about it.

These players need a good talking to, this attitude is shambolic.

Stuart Atwell, may you choke on snow one day.

Disgraceful from Atwell- controversial ****. How can you an 18minute break in the middle of a game, should've been called off then. Hope the twat gets kicked out of football forever.

GASH

Shame to see Vitor limp off, bet he will miss festive period.

Shit.

Just about sums it up for me!

Can't really be angry at them because the game should never have been played in those conditions.

Both teams are shit and will do **** all this season, our defending away from home is a joke!

Would have liked to see the game played on grass!

so gallagher looked like he got injured, so did kirkland at the end and of course Vitor...

Hope you feel proud of yourself, Ref. this wasnt just about your glory game in front of the cameras, this is about the rest of our season and the players getting injured...

Fool.

Game a farce BUT, despite being unable to play football, our lack of effort and half hearted challenges in the first half were unacceptable.

What's the point in challenging for the ball and getting injured in the process? I hope Sven told the players to be careful.

The worse thing about it was the pitch was no better when they came on

Nothing constructive is gonna come from this.

  • We lacked heart from the start (even more so after the first goal)
  • Tactics were wrong, Howard probably should have started and we needed to play a lot narrower
  • It should have been postponed before KO
  • Nothing went our way today and we were just poor all round

It's not sour grapes about the postponement, I posted before the match that the conditions looked ridiculous.

Fact is, in the conditions, for the first 30 minutes they were just less shit than us.

They will get tanked in their next game (if it's in playable conditions) and start a new losing run - Keane will be gone by Jan.

so weve possibly lost vitor, gallagher to injury. naughton pulled up and kirklands groin went. so weve possibly lost 4 players to injury in a crucial period joke

don't forget Curtis Davies

What a joke. Attwell should not be allowed anywhere near refereeing.

You've had a pitch where players are unable to really run on the surface. A pitch where players are slipping over. A pitch where the ball is difficult to control because of the snow. The slightest time a player got touched, they slipped over. Vitor's injury cannot have been helped by the slippy conditions.

To top it all off, you have treacherous conditions for fans trying to get home with the Portman Road announcer in the background warning everyone.

If the Chelsea-Man U game was called off the day before, why was the referee unable to work out that the result was going to be the ridiculous playing conditions.

I hate the fact that if it were 0-0 the ref would call it off. That shows that Attwell has no backbone, deciding that the result should be decided at half-time.
