Daggers Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 The performance was shit and lacked heart, trying to pass it on the floor was a laughable tactic and blaming the weather is a joke. We simply weren't at the races. Yet again we have been exposed for the biggest weakness we have - we can not cope with teams when they harass us and we haven't been able to for season upon season. Whoever we sign in January needs to be tougher than the wimps we have who fall over all of the time. The way we were bullied off the ball was pathetic.
MC Prussian Posted 18 December 2010 Author Posted 18 December 2010 Keith from Earl Shilton - you're a knobhead and have no clue whatsoever.
Haydos Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 "That Nigel Pearson didn't do too well, and that pablo.....whatever his name was wasn't doing well, and in my mind this game should have been called off" Do they get disabled-ier?
acooling08 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 When the game was stopped, we should have got changed and left - Refused to play on. At least that way we wouldn't have just slumped to a defeat, the Ref might have been forced to end it.
wurmer Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 "That Nigel Pearson didn't do too well, and that pablo.....whatever his name was wasn't doing well, and in my mind this game should have been called off" Do they get disabled-ier? Why do you put yourself through it, listening to it???
Father Ted Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 So to sum it up: The game should have been abandoned. Their 3rd goal shouldn't have even happened because we should have had a free kick down the other end for handball. Davies had a perfectly fine goal disallowed. Vitor hobbled off. Gallagher hobbled off. Davies hobbled off?? Kirkland picked up a knock. Thank you very much Stuart 'ghost goal' Attwell.

At least that way we wouldn't have just slumped to a defeat, the Ref might have been forced to end it. We would then most likely be charged by the League and docked points, in addition to losing the game..
MC Prussian Posted 18 December 2010 Author Posted 18 December 2010 Walkers - Sven is talking to you!!!
EnglishOxide Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 You've had a pitch where players are unable to really run on the surface. A pitch where players are slipping over. A pitch where the ball is difficult to control because of the snow. The Ipswich players managed it alright
wurmer Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 The Ipswich players managed it alright Oh go away, annoying pest..
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 I think that's cause he got booked groin strain apparently
ozleicester Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Tactically bad start to the game. They were more commited to the win than we were. Sh*t conditions fortunately, this league is so tight we are still able to make the playoffs "Box Day"
Haydos Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Why do you put yourself through it, listening to it??? Just once in a while and I'm a bit interested to the post match interviews, however boringly diplomatic they all are. Wanted to hear about all these injuries we apparently suffered as well. Definitely not worth it having to listen to these clowns though.
Brainy Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Walkers - Sven is talking to you!!! lol nono, i was just quoting him
themotivator Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 I'm going to throw up after that. We couldn't even kick a ball properly. Fact is that the game probably should have been called off, but both teams had to play on the same surface. Obviously they managed to take advantage of a shocking game of football. You can't deny that we reacted badly to the decisions that were made. Could see this coming really though. Bring on the transfer window...
Daggers Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 The Ipswich players managed it alright Exactly - we just didn't play to the conditions or adjust to their tactics.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Hope questions are raised over this. Surprised health and safety didn't shit their pants. Now we have a few key players out injured. Complete dickhead Atwell. Raging.
J.Lisemore Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Well at least i've come to the conclusion that James Scowcroft is a fooking idiot.
breadandcheese Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Whether it should or shouldn't have gone on Ipswich were better in these conditions simple, it was the same for them as us. Who would have been pleading for it to be abandoned if we were 3-0 up. If it was reversed and we were 3-0 up, I would not be livid if the game was called off because I could understand. The fact that more people are suprised the game went ot the full 90 minutes (including Keane and the twats Beagrie and Scowcroft) shows the game should have been abandoned. Yes, Ipswich adapted better to the conditions but do you know what, how do you prepare for these conditions? There is simply no way of knowing how players will adapt to dangerous slippy conditions like that. We now have two injuries that are linked to the bad conditions, going into the busy Christmas period.
breadandcheese Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Exactly - we just didn't play to the conditions or adjust to their tactics. Can someone please explain to me how you prepare to play in these conditions?
colbo68 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Hope questions are raised over this. Surprised health and safety didn't shit their pants. Now we have a few key players out injured. Complete dickhead Atwell. Raging. Attwell is a little twat who has become a ref far too young and who shit his pants at the sight of keano - to send the players in for 10 mins and then bring them back out again! why?
Number 6 Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 For those saying Ipswich did ok in the conditions would those conditions not even most matches up? We unfortunately couldn't use our speedy players to cut through them.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 Kingy is Fuming! You can really hear it in his voice. I wouldn't want to be in Leeds' shoes on Boxing Day. We are going to murder them.
The Doctor Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 So to sum it up: The game should have been abandoned. Their 3rd goal shouldn't have even happened because we should have had a free kick down the other end for handball. Davies had a perfectly fine goal disallowed. Vitor hobbled off. Gallagher hobbled off. Davies hobbled off?? Kirkland picked up a knock. Thank you very much Stuart 'ghost goal' Attwell. pretty much although kirklands knock was probably more to do with him being kirkland - super crock, than the conditions although looked like he might have got an elbow to the nuts from the ipswich player (zuiverloon? (sp)). Quite the coincidence that every time attwell referees there's some controversy going on.
Bert Posted 18 December 2010 Posted 18 December 2010 We've had two players injured due to the conditions. No doubt in my mind about that. Whether it should've been called off or not, we still had a game to play and we didn't turn up. We offered nothing and didn't deserve anything from the most farcical game we'll play this season.
