Sounds okay except that it worries me whether Berner will get sufficient help and protection at left-back.

Supporting our fullbacks defensively has been an issue all season. We simply do not have the kind of wide midfield players who get up and down and combine effective midfield play with a forward threat, it is probably the main reason we can not play 4-4-2.

Dyer is a winger and although effective in forward areas he does not know how to play when he drops into midfield, hopeless a linking up play mostly he just runs with the ball, useless from 50 yards out. Gallagher is not a wide player, simple as. He has improved defensively but nothing like enough to be effective cover for a suspect full back, be it Berner or Cunningham.

I would prefer to see a couple of midfielders sat in front of the back 4 covering the whole line, leaving the wide men to cover their fullbacks without having to track all the way back. They do not need to be purely defensive either, though this must be their priority, for the moment I would play King and Abe in this role, as you have said yourself, we miss King's contribution in defense.

I would make two changes to the team that started against Hull. Berner in for the injured Cunningham and Waghorn in for Gallagher, who i think needs a rest and Waggy is champing at the bit to get a full run out.

WEALE

BERNER

HOBBS

MORRISON

NAUGHTON

ABE

WELLENS

KING

WAGHORN

VASSELL

DYER

SUBS: LOGAN, MEE, OAKLEY, GALLAGHER, HOWARD, BEDNAR, NIELSON.

I am predicting a tight affair, but I think our home for will carry us through. 2-0 (Dyer, Waghorn)

As RL have said all dyer has got is pace, And cant finish goal scoring opertunities & cross.

EDIT: Forgot about moussa :L (As you do)

A non-match fit Berner coming up against Nathan Dyer/Scott Sinclair should be fun to watch

That'd be my only change, Berner in for Cunningham. Vassell has to start up top, which means unless you put Waghorn on the wing, Gallagher's going to play aswell.

I dont know why people are worried about Berner being match fit, or getting done for pace against Dyer/Sinclair.

Berner is no mug, he has the experience and he wont get beaten as many times as Naughton will.

I might be wrong but I think Bruno is more than capable of keeping either one of them quiet.

Front three would scare any opposition with pace.

Sven may well play Mee instead of Cunningham on the left. Especially if Bruno's got a deal in the pipeline to go elsewhere.

Wouldn't be surprised if Bamba starts instead of Morrison aswell.

Waghorn should start over Gallagher but probably won't.

So hope we can go a winning run now.

2-1 Leicester, Kingy and Vassell.

Will be a tough game but we have what it takes to win, they've lost 6 on the road this season so it's not an impossible task.

1-0 win.

Looks like Curtis has decided to go back rolleyes.gif

Curtis Davies has pulled out of Leicester’s game today and is returning to Aston Villa in a bid to seal a Premier League move.

Centre-back Davies, 25, has been a big success on loan at Championship Leicester under Sven Goran Eriksson.

A big reflection of his performances at Villa by the sounds of things, a quality player but not always 100% up for it. Shame really.
