So what's the latest with this? i heard it would be all done today?

If it goes through, if he stays fit, if he wants it and not just for the money then this would be an excellent signing and just what we need.. He's a beast and would rip the Championship apart

Stringer is currently rimming Yakubu for information, i'm sure he will post it on his Twitter when he has finished.

I saw a white man doing a serious good rimming job on a black man in town today, i just assumed it was the usual thing you see down town and went on with my daily business but now it all makes sense

I know this is hardly a comparison, but this whole thing reminds me a bit of the Akinbiyi mess... Over paying for a player who's form is completely unknown and who could be a risk for the amount we'll be spending on him.

I know it's a loan and that in itself is a blessing in disguise, however, £55,000 a week for a club like us with only a relatively small amount of money to be playing with seems a bit fool-hardy.

Then again, this is Yakubu... not exactly a nobody from the lower leagues. Still though, £55,000...

No facts in this post. We don't know how much he's on, we don't know how much we're paying. If he scores a lot, we'll sign him I imagine, in which case he'll be worth it because he's a quality prem striker. If not, we let him go back. Simple.
