Stevosevic Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 I doubt he is on £80k a week like the Mirror stated. Evertons top earners are Cahill, Arteta and Pienaar. The reason Pienaar is leaving is because he wants a pay rise, if Everton gave him a pay-rise they'd also have to do the same for Cahill and Arteta...which they can't afford. I agree. I will be very surprised if any Everton player is on 80K, i would imagine their highest earners are in the region of 50K.
stix Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Maybe because he's having a medical today?? I thought it was today aswell as thats what stringers twitter says
MrSpaM Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 I thought it was today aswell as thats what stringers twitter says Thats what the LM and the bbc are saying too
Samilktray Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Spoke to a mate whos an Everton fan, hes baffled as to why theyve let him go, and reckons hes still worth 20 goals a season in the Prem without injuries.
ibbosuk Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Natives are not very happy....... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
RizLCFC Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Love the Yakubu chant always wanted City fans to sing to the 'Animals went in 2 by 2' tune ever since Liverpool have been for Torres!
NSNO1878 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 I agree. I will be very surprised if any Everton player is on 80K, i would imagine their highest earners are in the region of 50K. Arteta is our highest earner on £65k-ish a week. Saha is next on £60k. Cahill/Howard/Jagielka/Distin - players of that calibre are all around £40-50k. Pienaar is on less as his contract hasn't been renewed as recently as those previously mentioned, he wanted parity with Arteta but we'd only offer parity with the others. He's supposedly been offered £70k at Spurs.. Absolutely brilliant news - as a loan signing. I was incredibly apprehensive about us paying reportedly high Premiership sums when I don't really think that's his level any more. But if we can get him fit and up to speed I think he'll be very solid at this level. He's still good enough for the Prem. That's why a lot of our fans are annoyed but they don't seem to be able to see that Moyes is fed up with him and Yak wants games, and that in order to get anyone in we need to free up money. The only way to do it is to shift some people out. Yak is behind Saha and Beckford in the pecking order now so he being one to go makes sense. He'll definitely be a force down there if you play him correctly. He was at his best when playing with Cahill in his first season, he got 21 goals. Since then goals have been sparse but the injury definitely took it out of him. I still think he's good enough to do a job but needs must.
Viper7513 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Just arrived at the training ground. Tia owners paying ALL of his wages !!!
Babylon Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Just arrived at the training ground. Tia owners paying ALL of his wages !!! Who owns Tia? Is she a sex slave? If so how much for a go?
MikeyT Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Sky Sports News have just shown pictures of Yakubu arriving at Leicester as the Everton striker looks to tie up a loan move to the Walkers Stadium.
Simmo86 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Who owns Tia? Is she a sex slave? If so how much for a go? 20 dollar sucky sucky!!
Viper7513 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Who owns Tia? Is she a sex slave? If so how much for a go? , fair point there Babylon
Finnegan Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Dubious of anyone behind Beckford in any order! I'd have Deej over Beckford!

So are we right to assume Yakubu is on somewhere between 30-45k? I find it hard to believe he is on the 55k rumoured. Thanks for the feedback.
rich2011 Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 good news i reckon hell smash the championship. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/everton/8254403/Leicester-sign-Yakubu-from-Everton-on-loan-as-David-Moyes-makes-room-for-Dieumerci-Mbokani.html Leicester sign Yakubu from Everton on loan as David Moyes makes room for Dieumerci Mbokani Leicester manager Sven Goran Eriksson has added to his promotion-chasing squad by securing a loan deal with Everton for out of favour striker Yakubu until the end of the season. By Telegraph staff 10:27AM GMT 12 Jan 2011 Leicester, who have been in excellent form since the former England manager took charge and sit just outside the Championship play-off places, have taken the 28-year-old Nigerian on an initial loan with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer. Moyes has been told he must trim the wage bill at Goodison Park before he is able to dip in to the loan market himself. Leicester’s wealthy Thai owners have agreed to pay Yakubu’s wages, believed to be in the region of £35,00-per-week, allowing Moyes to move for Monaco forward Dieumerci Mbokani. The former Standard Liege striker has endured a difficult time in France and would welcome a move. Foxes boss Sven Goran Eriksson has been tracking the 28 year-old for several weeks, and the Midlands club’s wealthy Thai owners have agreed to cover his wages, enabling the deal to go ahead.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 12 January 2011 Posted 12 January 2011 The whole point of having a slave is that you don't have to pay them anything. You just give them a few less lashes when they do well. Why is everyone saying Yakubu is probably past it? I realise he has had injury problems but he is only 28!

He is on £50-55k. Sorry, I left him out as I thought we knew that! When we signed him, he instantly became our highest earner.
