No Frill players I can sort of remember playing for us, that are I suppose, easily forgotten but still sort of remembered for me are:-

Kevin Jobling

Grant Brown

Peter Eccles

Dave Puttnam

Gary Charles

Gary Ford

Paul Kerr

Owen McGee

Mick Kennedy - he was Paul Reid's double

and the great Utility Man....

PHIL TURNER - anyone remember him???

Mike Whitlow

I was just thinking that, although most of the Brian Little era of players could be called basic and no frills. (Except JJ of course)

Nicky Plateneur

Micky Galloway

Michael Trotter

Nicky Cross

Marc North - no frills in defence, no frills in midfield, few games up front, and looked a far safer pair of hands in goal than Martin Hodge.

Good shout. Ultimate utility man. Passed away few years back i belive

Junior Lewis - umm!!!

Stephen Hughes

Lee Marshall - crap, utter crap

Alan Maybury

James Wesolowski

Elvis Hammond - umm very crap

Steve Howard - oh shite he still plays for us!!!

Yes, incredibly sad, cancer in his spine, died just 10 years after he left the foxes. I'll never forget the Sheffield United game where he had to go in goal and didn't look at all out of place. The epitome of a lower-league career footballer, unfortunately taken far too early.

phrill gee

He's looking for no frills players they have so many frills it's in their names, like Frillbert Fox

Although you didn't miss the point as much as Fox1651, please lets not turn this into another crap players from the not too distant past thread.

Gary Coatsworth

Never forget the mortar bomb he put into the box for Steve Walsh's assault on the goalie for the equalizer in the '94 Play Off Final against Derby. They were so much better than us but we just mugged them ........ Happy Days!! :crylaugh:

Also Coatsworth's 30 yard screamer against Luton earlier that season (i think) - he looked completely shocked that it went in.
