SeattleShane Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Sven says a few players want to leave , any ideas who?
cc_star Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Wouldn't be surprised if Hobbs wasn't preparing for a chat with Sven tomorrow
Wymsey Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Wellens. Doesn't seem happy on the field. Waghorn as Stringer said he wanted to go elsewhere.
StanSP Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Bamba. He's not happy he didn't get a hat-trick on Saturday. Yak - misses Everton. Vassell - prefers Turkey. We can speculate all we want to be honest!
jonthefox Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 It wouldnt surprise me if weale went. Svens linked with every keeper going these days.
Jimothy Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Wellens. Doesn't seem happy on the field. Waghorn as Stringer said he wanted to go elsewhere. Wellens is in the form of his life, how much more of an indication of his happiness do you want? Players form usually drops when their head has been turn by speculation, Wellens is getting better.
FuriousFox46 Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Why don't we wait until the players actually leave?
ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Why don't we wait until the players actually leave? Exactly! Well said mate
samlcfc Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Sven said on the radio that waghorn asked to leave. Probably just on loan like is being discussed but he wants to leave because hes not playing games
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Sven said Waghorn as asked to leave. I find it disgraceful actually. He was never going to get in Sunderland's team, we brought him and now Sven doesn't play him he wants to leave! What about working hard instead of moaning. Wellens is in the form of his life, how much more of an indication of his happiness do you want? Players form usually drops when their head has been turn by speculation, Wellens is getting better. Thats what I thought.
accessory Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Sven said on the radio that waghorn asked to leave. Probably just on loan like is being discussed but he wants to leave because hes not playing games Players can't be transferred twice in the same season. Thus the only way Waghorn could leave would be on loan. As for Wellens, it's surprising what effects contract talks can have. Perhaps Sven should spin them out over the next 3 months..
muzzy1981 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 The Waghorn debate goes on! Wish people wouldn't keep saying he's being treated badly. It is quite simple Sven has got us scoring goals and playing well without Waggy in the team. If this wasn't the case then I'd feel sorry for him. Being a footballer is high risk/high reward. If he wants to leave and not fight for a place then let him go.
Unit Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Wellens. Doesn't seem happy on the field. Waghorn as Stringer said he wanted to go elsewhere. He had a cheeky shot from near the half way line, took the piss doing kick ups on the floor and seemed to genuinely enjoy playing on saturday. Can't see any indication that he's not happy?

Nearly all of the pro-Waghorn sentiment isn't asking for him to be in the team at the expense of the Yak or even Vassell, as I see it its one of 3 things: 1) Disappointment that if he goes we'll be weakening our squad for the long and difficult run-in and potentially strengthening a rival's 2) Disappointment that we seem unable to develop a youngster to the next level who does have some talent 3) Disappointment that he hasn't been given a real chance now that the team is playing much better than it was I don't see anyone calling for him to be playing week-in/week-out at the expense of people who are doing a job for Sven.

hairy Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 I trust Sven given what he has done so far. If he wants them here they wont go if he doesn't then goodbye to whoever
Captain... Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 Anyone who didn't start on saturday, with the exception of Hobbs, Vitor, Gallagher and Tunchev might as well go now. I don't see the point in any of them being in the squad and seeing Oakley and Howard playing ahead of academy/younger players is very disappointing. So, Neilson, Logan, N'guessan, Moreno, Oakley, Howard, Lamey, can all leave, if your not good enough for the team now, I'm pretty sure the team is only going to improve so you never will be. Moussa and Waghorn might as well go out on short term loans, better for them than 5-10 minute cameos and gets them off the wage book. Have a bench full of youth and give them 20-30 minute run outs whne we are comfortably winning games.
Babylon Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 When did Sven say this? I've seen not quotes at all other than mentioning Waghorn?
Fox92 Posted 24 January 2011 Posted 24 January 2011 When did Sven say this? I've seen not quotes at all other than mentioning Waghorn? When I was on the way home on Saturday from the game, Sven did his post match interview and he said Waghorn wanted to leave. Can't remember what he said exactly but after he said that, Stringer said 'are you confirming Waghorn wants to leave' and Sven said yes. Cannot remember it fully. Might be played now on Football Forum.
