Howard9 Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Sexy Of course the red one would have to be red shorts and white socks to avoid it being too Foresty Red one would look fantastic As requested, sorry its taken along time. Red Away Green Away Red would look fantastic :appl:
BlueSi13 Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 That red shirt doesn't look like a Nottingham Forest shirt at all
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I would like to see a white away dirt again, had a enough of yellow and black shirts now, they are ok once in a while but have over stayed their welcome in my opinion. A red shirt would be good too, remember seeing footage of us in a red shirt in the very early 90s and it looked good. But as people say, others will comment how we look like Forest which wouldnt be good.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I think i'm going to explode if I read one more retard say that an away red shirt is too 'Forest'
Jimothy Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I think i'm going to explode if I read one more retard say that an away red shirt is too 'Forest' Red away shirts are too "Forest"
BlueSi13 Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I think i'm going to explode if I read one more retard say that an away red shirt is too 'Forest' Thats worrying, but its the truth? Your honestly saying seeing City play in red shirt (white trim), white shorts and red socks wouldn't be a "what the **** " moment?
wattolcfc Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Blue home White away Green & Yellow third Simples
Jimothy Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Blue home White away Green & Yellow third Simples If I see one more person type or hear one more person say "Simples", I think I'm gonna explode!
Ford Super Sunday Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Thats worrying, but its the truth? Your honestly saying seeing City play in red shirt (white trim), white shorts and red socks wouldn't be a "what the **** " moment? No Because I have the brain power to differentiate between LEICESTER and NOTTINGHAM FOREST, seemingly there are a number of plebs unable to do this. They don't own the rights to wear red, they are not the only club to wear red. I really don't see what the problem is, it's not like we're changing our home strip to red. People do realise Forest have a white away shirt themselves? Their fans obviously don't give a rats that their away shirt is predominantly the colour of their bitter rivals. Seems that our fans don't have the same intellect. When we walk out in white at an away game next season, why will no-one go '**** me, it's like we're Derby' if there's such a negative reaction to red?
Fosse Boy Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Not wanting red because your main rivals wear it = about as small-time as it gets. Man City's traditional alternative colours have been red, black and white for donkeys years. Fuck knows how they cope.
Captain... Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Fantastic designs Ashley, I really like the green and yellow away. The only I thinkg I have noticed is that the retro badge looks a bit out of place on the away kits. On the home one it works, but the gold and blue badge on the green red and white ones looks a bit out of place. I don't know if you could change the gold on the badge to a more neutral colour, or change the blue to match the kit colour.
Finchy Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I just don't want red because it looks gash, couldn't care less if it looks like Forest.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Right. We've worn red as an away shirt before, not just an obscure kit worn once in 1974 either. We wore the ****ing colour for most of the 80s and only stopped in the early 90s when it was replaced by the Fox Leisure yellow away strip. In fact for some time it was, along with white, our most regular change strip. Yellow away kits have been a much more recent innovation and the fact that red was worn so often by Leicester in the 80s would make its re-introduction a nice nod to our history. The only other clubs I know that would get this uppity over a red away kit because of their rivals would be Leeds, Derby and Tottenham but then they have no history of red change strips as we do, so the situation is different. Embrace the red away strip, unless we start developing a love of guns, racist chanting and egos the size of Belgium nobody will confuse us for Forest.
Jakemoore Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I really like the first two non pin stripe shirts they're beautiful. I want the blue home shirt with the pin stripe away shirt please, equipped with Premier league badge and made by nike. That would rock.
Edmund Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I'm still waiting for the return of the marble GK kits. They were the sex. Any chance of knocking some of these out Ashley?
Guest Bilo Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Who actually made Fox Leisure kits? Were they essentially Bukta/Admiral kits made under licence or something because most of them were fairly decent looking back?
Kitchandro Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Thats worrying, but its the truth? Your honestly saying seeing City play in red shirt (white trim), white shorts and red socks wouldn't be a "what the **** " moment? Who says it has to be white shorts red socks? If it was red shorts, white socks, it wouln't look like Forest at all, making this argument utter bollocks
Edmund Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Who actually made Fox Leisure kits? Were they essentially Bukta/Admiral kits made under licence or something because most of them were fairly decent looking back? I think it was just a brand devised by the club to cut out the middle man and sewn and manufactured locally. Afterall Leicester was a huge textile city years ago. These days I'm guessing it's much more cost effective to get a big sports manufacturer who makes them in the Far East/India etc.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I just don't want red because it looks gash, couldn't care less if it looks like Forest. Thank fuck I'm not the only one.
Webbo Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I don't want red because I don't want red. Nothing to do with Forest. Home kit: Blue shirt, white shorts. Away kit: White shirt, blue shorts.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 I think i'm going to explode if I read one more retard say that an away red shirt is too 'Forest' Red just aint Leicester pal - apart from Cheese!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Not wanting red because your main rivals wear it = about as small-time as it gets. Man City's traditional alternative colours have been red, black and white for donkeys years. Fuck knows how they cope. Think youve just hit the nail on the head as Man City away kit is traditionally those colours, has Leicester City a tradition of Red away kits - errrrm let me think that will be a no then - case rested
Fox1651 Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Agreed Red just isnt Leicester's traditional away colours - nowt to do with so called rivals
Kitchandro Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Think youve just hit the nail on the head as Man City away kit is traditionally those colours, has Leicester City a tradition of Red away kits - errrrm let me think that will be a no then - case rested Well we had red away kits in the 80s and early 90s so yeh We had a green kit once so that's much less traditional. Black away kits aren't traditional but everyone seems to like them. Having said that I think white and yellow are much more Leicester than any of those colours, see the badge
