lcfc_jme Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I hope he makes an impact there but doesn't become so outstanding that he helps win promotion seeing as I'd love Southampton to stay down there and rot forever. Cvnts.
shailen Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Think hes gonna get a start against man united! Lets see what he can do
Bryn Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Only saw him touch the ball once. Bullshit, he was actually quite involved. He looked sharp to me.
ajthefox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 I hope he makes an impact there but doesn't become so outstanding that he helps win promotion seeing as I'd love Southampton to stay down there and rot forever. Cvnts. Why?
Walshy5 Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 there win in 2008 got us relegated You cant just blame that one game. Over the course of the season we were shit!
Kitchandro Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 You cant just blame that one game. Over the course of the season we were shit! Yeh but there was no way we were shitter than them. Or Coventry. Or Sheffield Wednesday. If the decisions had evened themselves out we would have stayed up. I've never liked Southampton anyway.
shailen Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Basically that season we were shit and deserved to go down! And look it all worked out for the best
J.Lisemore Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Yeh but there was no way we were shitter than them. Or Coventry. Or Sheffield Wednesday. If the decisions had evened themselves out we would have stayed up. I've never liked Southampton anyway. Brunt, Tudgay, Whelan. Nuff said.
Kitchandro Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Basically that season we were shit and deserved to go down! And look it all worked out for the best No we didn't. I'm sure the teams that just escaped the drop like Southampton would say they weren't good enough and deserved to go down. The point is all the luck went against us and we went down by a point. We were good enough to stay up.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 No we didn't. I'm sure the teams that just escaped the drop like Southampton would say they weren't good enough and deserved to go down. The point is all the luck went against us and we went down by a point. We were good enough to stay up. No team is good enough to stay up.
The Doctor Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 No team is good enough to stay up. barcelona? they could play half arsed week in week out and still challenge for the title. We did deserve to go down though. You can't have 5 different managers (caretaker and permanant) in the space of 4 months at the start of the season and expect to stay up.
Kitchandro Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 No team is good enough to stay up. What the hell is that supposed to mean? Everyone deserves to go down but unfortunately only 3 can? We were robbed in a number of games. You can say we were terrible and all that but I'm sure Southampton fans would say exactly the same about their team that season. Brunt, Tudgay, Whelan. Nuff said. I could easily say - Holloway, DJ Campbell, Stearman. Nuff said But I'm not going to
shailen Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 No we didn't. I'm sure the teams that just escaped the drop like Southampton would say they weren't good enough and deserved to go down. The point is all the luck went against us and we went down by a point. We were good enough to stay up. Even if we were good enough to stay up, we didnt get the points we should have and hence we were relegated. Points do not lie, over the season if we didnt get the points we needed, then we deserved to go down. That season we really did play poorly at times, with a weak attack i recall, and look since we went down, we have really turned the club around with League1 success, and then championship play offs, followed by another push for the play offs this season. Moral of story as someone else said - you are never too good to go down
Corky Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 We deserved to go down, we had 46 games to get the amount of points required to survive and we failed. I hope N'Guessan does well there, he's frustrated me when he's played for us but he's not a bad player.

I find peoples denial and inability to open their eyes, be truthful and honest and grasp the ability of simple facts painful.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Why? Bad experience down there a few years ago on a Tuesday night whilst on crutches.
Kitchandro Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Simple, not hard to understand is it? I find peoples denial and inability to open their eyes, be truthful and honest and grasp the ability of simple facts painful. Simple facts are we were robbed by the ref on a number of occassions
Corky Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 Simple facts are we were robbed by the ref on a number of occassions Other simple facts include only scoring 42 goals over the season and 9 home defeats.
