The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Why are we never one of the main games? Possibly 3 goals of the season in one game, a great win, Leicester unbeaten at home in the league since September, the Sven revolution coming good, yet we barely get a look in on the highlights. Is it because Manish is a Fox and it'd be deemed unfair??
DB11 Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 The featured game is chosen well in advance. It's not like MOTD where they have the same amount of cameras at each game and can choose selectively.

leicesterseddon Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 They always seem to follow the same format - namely the game featuring the team at the top of the league, then 2nd, then those in the play-offs. The order never seems to change. And they always do a featured game - but as others have said, they choose it well in advance and send the best cameras there. With all the other games the low-quality ones are used - which is why the highlights are always so damned zoomed in...
Guest BlueBrett Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 It will definitley be a welcome change watching us on Motd next year.
OmnipresentSam Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 They always follow the league standings. QPR/Norwich/Leeds always ahead of us because of it. Leicester's and Hull's game would have been up near the top if it was following MoTD's format

Leicester's and Hull's game would have been up near the top if it was following MoTD's format Doubt it. Would have been QPR, Forest, Norwich and then us/Leeds. I've got nothing wrong with FLS. See the goals, and then just watch extended highlights on Foxes Player.
ScouseFox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Pretty sure we were a feature against Millwall in our last game. They can't feature every game, so can't please every single fan. They fit in 72 teams in about 75 minutes, not every team's going to have 15 minutes each week.
ousefox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 How many times have Norwich been main game recently ?!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 We'll have extended highlights next week, only because we are on Sky.
Callabinho Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 It's funny though that both motd and the footie show are hosted by Leicester fans! But I would like to know why we never get good air time!
StanSP Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 I don't like this 'the presenters are Leicester fans' argument. So what? I doubt they have much say in choosing the order each game should be shown. It's probably out of their control. As for TFLS, the order of games shown is determined on where the teams are in the table.

Guest parky0607 Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Ive always stuck up for the FLS but I did send a bitchy Email to them last night as it was beyond a joke. The 2 feature games were games which were on sky - theres no 'its already pre-decided' excuse for that and why are league one sides getting more highlights to the championship!? Just doesn't make sense... and why do we always have to watch 15 mins of a clubs history, why cant we just see more highlights?

lcfc_jme Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 I fail to see why this is such a big ****ing problem. Surely it's in our best interests to keep going about our own business out of the media spotlight and focus, thus reducing the pressure and scrutiny on ourselves and suprising everyone everywhere? I'd rather us go unnoticed in the media whilst putting in the graft on the training pitch and churning out positive results left, right and center than be getting rimmed for a few weeks then wilting under the increased pressure and attention.
Brainy Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Funny cause whenever I watch the FLS live the LCFC game always has a commentator instead of someone reporting on it. Like i've said before if it bothers you that much wait until you can watch extended highlights on Monday on BBC Sport
Ford Super Sunday Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Jesus wept, I put a MASSIVE post in another thread on this topic about how we HAVE got a lot of coverage this season. Let's go through the stats again. This season on the FLS, we've had substansial coverage for the following games (This is action AND talk about us) Middlesbrough- 11 Minutes coverage- Featured game Reading- 8 Minutes coverage- Sub-featured game as we were live on Sky Portsmouth- 8 Minutes coverage- Sub-featured game as we were live on Sky S****horpe- 6 Minutes coverage- Clem feature on Sousa sacking Hull- 6 Minutes coverage- Clem feature on Sven's first game Doncaster- 5 Mins coverage- Sub-featured game Ipswich- 13 Mins coverage- Featured game because of the weather and being live on Sky Leeds- 4 Minutes coverage- Mainly talk Millwall- 7 Minutes coverage- Sub-featured game There have been 26 editions of the FLS this season. Several of which we haven't featured on because of international weekend and live on Monday night, so nine episodes with decent coverage out of what, 20-22 episodes is not bad at all. So can we please dispel the myth we don't get decent coverage? We do. Other teams this season will have had nothing like what we've managed to get. Especially as, up until the last month or so, we were inconsistent and completely mediocre, so we didn't really deserve it. They have 72 teams to cover! 72!? Why do we have a devine right to have 5-6 minutes every game? I'd love us to, but we don't. It's funny that this only crops up when we win, no-one ever complains of lack of coverage when we lose.
Matt Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Thank fuck we're not stuck with 'The Championship' on ITV. BBC > ITV.

StanSP Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Thank fuck we're not stuck with 'The Championship' on ITV. BBC > ITV. Agreed, Manish > Matt [long pause] Smith.
Corky Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Thank fuck we're not stuck with 'The Championship' on ITV. BBC > ITV. Absolutely. The FLS is miles better than what we've had previously.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 There are twenty four teams in the league, I'm sure other teams feel like they don't get much attention either.
