surrifox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 For the life of me I cannot understand how QPR have absolutely stormed this division. Worncock is a canny operator and taraabt is clearly a talent but the rest of the side are mostly championship standard journeyman pros, he even had Jamie Mackie playing like Tevez earlier in the season. We have a bit further to go in this slump so a 2-1 defeat followed by a couple of draws then a storming run to the play off final
harpendenfox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I'm hoping for a 2-0 win thanks to a hotly disputed penalty which even the most ardent Foxes fan feels to be soft ( a la Donny at home), then a second which TV replays later prove to be comfortably offside. Three points, and a Colin eruption will do nicely.
Blake Carrington Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Rs here...hope you don't mind me joining you for a few days. A couple of responses to this thread. Yes we have lost twice this season - once to Port Vale (!) in the Carling Cup and then Watford 3-1 - we were woeful on both occasions. Re: Taarabt - unbelievably gifted to be sure but as someone has correctly pointed it is ridiculous to call us a one man team. Leave Taarabt alone or just keep one on him and he can destroy opposition defences at will. Put two or three players on him and he'll be quieter but the rest of team has tons of space to work with. It's a tricky one. Has the ability to throw childish tantrums which worries us and amuses the opposition fans. In fact our most important player in my opinion is the Argentine Faurlin, who is the one player other than Taarabt, who truly has got premiership/international potential. Anyway onto the game - and I for one am a bit worried about this one (but then I am worried every game at the moment as years of heartache has conditioned me to be). I am pretty certain you lot will make the playoffs, I assume at Dirty Leeds expense, and maybe even more. And after last season's fixture where we had been playing like world beaters and then are season crashed when you came and did a number on us also makes me nervous. However, we are different team from then - less flamboyance, more professionalism in getting the job done (a la Warnock). Enjoy the day whatever the result.
Haydos Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 If Taarabt makes them a one man team then King makes us a one man team. <_<
Corky Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Setting off about 9.40, hoping for a better outcome than my last visit to Loftus Road (2-3 defeat after being 2-0 up).
Rich Fox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Rich fox is yours a london midland train mate? I'm meeting some West Ham lads at kings cross god knows where they are going to take me... IOWBob Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Hi all a QPR fan Here To be honest after last season I'm slightly worried about this one, think it will be a draw though. The main reason for posting on this thread though is that all the pubs around Shepherds Bush Green are all QPR pubs on home match days. You have the choice of the Walkabout or O'Neils, unless you drink out side of Shepherds Bush. Whatever the result enjoy your day down in the Big City.

Is ladbroke grove a good alternative station to use for away friendly boozers ?

Thanks for the reply mate, will I get in the witherspoons opposite tube not that Im bothered but may get food there first. And will the White horse not allow away fans in?
Nick Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 Warnock turns up the heat: http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/news/Warnock-turns-heat-city/article-3288449-detail/article.html
Ric Flair Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 Pub called The Elgin in Ladbrook Grove is an absolute peach, I might just swig there and then get the tube to the ground if The White 'Oss at Shepherd's Bush Market isn't allowing in away fans these days.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 There is nothing better than a win by a dodgy penalty at a Colin willy puller team. I love how appaplectic he gets when things go against him. I want this to happen, or an offside goal in injury time.

topharry123 Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 I'm not sure what my previous prediction was, but had a dream last night that we won 3-1......if my memory serves me correct, it was 1-1 at half time then we scored 2 in the second half.
Ric Flair Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 Is it not walkable from ladbroke grove? I wouldn't fancy the walk it's a good 2-3 miles from there.
MPH Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 BBC sports website breaking news yellow bar at the top thing has just reported that talks are under way to sell a controlling 67% stake in QPR...... DISTRACTION!!! we'll take anything right now... chuffin well hope it distracts every single one of their players.... although in reality it probably won't...
sbfox Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 Looking around their forums, they seem to think they're gonna walk this and we're a bit of a joke. Be nice to do one over on them...
Matt Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 Looking around their forums, they seem to think they're gonna walk this and we're a bit of a joke. Be nice to do one over on them... We've done that a fair few times ourselves, even when we were shit.
Simmo86 Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 We got called Tin Pot on one of there forums! Found that quite funny considering they normally get 12k at home and struggle to muster more than 1k away from home. Problem with success goes to their head!

Andy King will score the winner tomorrow. 2-1 win for us, Vassell, King and Routledge(for qpr) to get the goals.
Gav_LCFC Posted 4 March 2011 Posted 4 March 2011 I really do think we will take something from this game, Hopefully all 3 points but i would take 1.
