This is a shithole... Your support is ****ing shit...

I have to say I absolutely deplore some of the ditty's that seem to have become popular of late with traveling fans.

"This is a shithole.. I wanna go home."

So you were brought to the game at gunpoint? And I suppose your own stadium is a little palace?? Oh please.

"You're support is ****ing shit."

Sung without fail at every game by some visiting fans. And whilst visiting teams such as us with one of the best average attendances in the league just makes them look stupid.

There is a real know better / put down culture in this country at the moment, is it down to that or just plain stupidity?

Yeah football fans should only praise the opposition fans and remark on how nice their stadiums are.

Surely they can be a little more imaginative than this?

Singing this is a shithole and your fans are shit seems a little, well, brain dead.

Bloody hell, as I was saying last week, some people on here are just too sensitive and don't live in the real world, It's banter, I receive and give much more everyday at work.

This is a pleasant place, i do not want to go home. I can see that catching on.

I don't really see what the problem is with it, i don't really like using the word but it is just 'banter' between the two sets of fans.

Just Can't Get Enough/We Love You/Dale [insert team name here] sung by every other shafter going at the moment. Boring. Get some originality.

Also "We're [insert team name here], we'll do what we want". Again, boring (and in most cases laughable).

"I wanna go home" works when you're 2 or 3 up taking the piss after 85 minutes. It DOES NOT work if you're singing it at half one as you get off the Fox Travel coaches. TAKE NOTE LEICESTER FANS.

I can't stand the "this is a shithole" chant. Not because it offends me - just because it's very crap. It's not "banter." Banter is witty, funny, clever; not some unfunny shit that every team in the country's fans have copied each other in singing.

It wouldn't be so bad but it's always like Blackburn fans singing to Wigan fans and other such hypocritical rubbish. Or when West Brom came here for God's sakes.

I mean if it was, I dunno, Yeovil fans singing at Old Trafford then fair enough - banter.

I agree.

And it makes no sense at the Walkers at all.

It's clearly not a shit hole, and better than most if not all the stadia in the league.

Banter requires some wit, some brains, some nowse.

Arsenal fans have just sung both to Man Utd fans, and it just sounds silly.

I mean granted it's better than racist filth but that's about it.

I love how some people analyse songs like theres some rules to it all, you'll never please everyone its impossible to sing original songs all the time.

Yeah, but there's a difference between part-plagiarising and belting out downright cringeworthy shit.

Even if something original does crop up, others will soon follow anyway.

Like the 'poznan', grecques - call it whatever you please, Lech Poznan started it (So I believe), Man City followed, we followed (Maybe some other teams followed before us), Others are now catching onto the craze, so how long before this gets boring? unoriginal?

The difference is, it isnt well known. Only Man City fans and we do it, ulike the chants today.

What i'm saying is, it will catch on, it is catching on, so how long before everyone does it and it becomes boring and unoriginal.

It might catch on, but I think it is a bit bizarre and unique to really get going.

Least we would ahve used it towards the start and not jump on the bandwagon.

I know where you are coming from some of the generic songs we come out with are cringworthy.

stand up if you love Leciester does my head in to be fair, boring and unoriginal imo although after sitting in silence for 60 mins in the Kop only for a chorus of your not singing anymore alway makes me cringe

Celtic fans do it in more numbers than anyone, at least at Old Firm games.

The "shithole" song is so overdone, as Fosse Boy it should be used at a certain time, not five minutes after getting off the train.

This has probably been answered before but...

Why do Celtic sing 'You'll never walk alone'? I always used to just associate this with Liverpool with what happened at Hillsbrough etc.

They've been singing that since the 60s.
