Ambitious Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He was wank! Along with Wales! Bet he regrets choosing to play for them now, I'd have been embarrassed if I was him, one things for sure it proves he wouldn't be able to cope with the level of competition in The Premiership, when we get up I say we cash in on the traitor

At least come back and try to justify it somehow?

His performance has backed up my opinion once more that he's not good enough to play in the Premiership. Fair enough he was out wide, but he doesn't have the impact that a midfielder should. He does lack pace (Bellamy played a great ball for him that he couldn't get to) and he doesn't tackle in either a Leicester or Wales shirt. My opinion isn't just on his performance today, but his season in general for us. I'd seriously consider £6million if thats why Everton are prepared to offer (can't see him commanding that much of a fee though/can't see Everton paying that much). You can't say he's coming up against hard opponents either because if he ever played in the Premiership, he'd face hard opponents every week. Wales are just poor in general though and it serves them right for booing our national anthem.

Ambitious Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He's a traitor to his country, the man was born and bred in England and he's chose to play for Wales, that's a traitor as far as I'm concerned.
googie Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He's a traitor to his country, the man was born and bred in England and he's chose to play for Wales, that's a traitor as far as I'm concerned. on your own
Bugg Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He's a traitor to his country, the man was born and bred in England and he's chose to play for Wales, that's a traitor as far as I'm concerned. So what? LargeAl was born in England but that doesn't stop him hating us English bastards. I'm sure if he had the chance he'd play for Scotland. Just because you were born in England does not mean you should represent that country.
Fox92 Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 I think that the country in which you were born in is the country that you should represent, regardles of your family history. And if your not good enough to get in the national side, then just accept it.

And if your not good enough to get in the national side, then just accept it. Oh right, so because Ryan Giggs was born in England he should represent England? What about poor Rio Mavuba, can he not represent anybody because he was born at sea? It's such a poor argument.
Mack Posted 26 March 2011 Posted 26 March 2011 He was a big zero today, mind you, so were their whole team apart from Bellamy.

And if your not good enough to get in the national side, then just accept it. My mate was born in Greece when his parents lived there for a few years. He's English, lived in England since he was about 6 months, speaks English, supports England. Pretty sure he'd play for England, not Greece.

Just because you were born in England does not mean you should represent that country. Nah, it depends on the reasons why, a lot of players choose to play for other International teams because they don't feel they would be able to get in The England squad, in my opinion thats not good enough, I would want to play for my country because I was born and/or even grew up there and feel passionate about representing them. Andy King was born and bred in Berkshire, now last time I checked that was an English county, and I'm sure if King was given better advice in his younger days he'd have opted to try and make it in the England Squad rather than the Wales one.

What about poor Rio Mavuba, can he not represent anybody because he was born at sea? It's such a poor argument. Giggs represented England at lower level. He was born in England wasn't he? So yes. Its not a poor argument, just because you don't agree with it.

Yea thats fair enough, but thats not the case with Andy King, he is born and bred an English man, he had nothing to do with Wales whatsoever.
