don't mind the poznan or whatever people want it to be called but those shirts are really cringey.

Quite like the CDP for what it's worth.

Now I've never been one to take the high ground when it comes to supporting my team but fuck me that's some cringeworthy shit isn't it?

Yep.

Is it just me that thinks chanting "Let's all do the Poznan" whilst doing it is completely embarrassing?

Nope.

I really wish people would stop calling it 'the Poznan' too. It's the Grecque.

Christ I agree with you on summat.

I think it's an attempt at putting a little soul back into football. It is a goal response which developed completely independently of any official input from the club; the fans decided to do it based on what they had seen abroad. It's the first time I have seen Leicester fans decide as a partial collective how they are going to celebrate a goal together. I think we need more developments like this, not less.

It is on the continent where it's used to show strength and unity among a fanbase - "no matter what goes on on the pitch we are together and united", that type of message. Here it's just 30 seconds of wackiness.

Have mixed feelings about its introduction in England as a goal celebration. If it leads to a greater understanding of Ulras culture developing and kids getting clued up then great, but if it stays as the piss-take of foreign fans it started out as with Man City then I'm not really in favour. Time will tell.

Will admit I thought it was class when Man City did the full minute in a show of support for Neil Young on 26 minutes to symbolise the time he scored the winner against us in the '69 Cup final. With the banner unfurling and that lad running out our end into theirs at the same time too it was probably the best thing I've seen at our new gaff.

The Man City sentiment was great, that goes without saying. The same can be said for the European origin. I still think this looks great as a goal celebration after the initial celebrations have died down. That's just my opinion and I know some will feel differently but I don't think it should be lost just because it doesn't stick solely to the original mantra.

I really can't work out why any of you like this celebration. A bunch of fat skin-head football fans jumping up and down out of time with their backs turned to the pitch? What the **** is impressive about that?

It's fun? It rubs it in to the opposition just a little bit more because it's clear we are enjoying ourselves? If we can get loads to do it it would look really good?

Surely if you'd have read the threads about it you would have the answer already?

Only the Poles can actually make it look good. When the English do it it's all out of time, disjointed and just looks dumb.

I don't have a skinhead and I prefer the term 'portly'.

Do people really believe Lech Poznań, Manchester City and Leicester are the only fans to have ever done the Grecque?

I'm sure if you just type 'the grecque' into youtube, you'll find a myriad of videos of different clubs throughout Europe who have been doing it for a while.

The Pozman/Greque/Whatever is cringey imo.

I'd rather be watching the match that I spent a shit load of money getting to rather than jumping up and down like a tosser.

What is the point of turning around any way?

Always puzzled me, surely it would look just as effective and could last longer if everyone did it facing the pitch. I'm sure I've seen examples of this where the linked up fans move left and right along the rows and I thought that look pretty impressive.

our fans only do it after a goal anyway

We could all become more 'portly', get lots of City tattoos and bang a drum!

One of them is too many!

Bloody keyboard warriors moaning and complaining like always, have a bit of fun ffs, the poznan/whatever you elitists want to call it is like 20 seconds of your precious time and by the times it's done they're kicking off again so you won't have missed much, if anything at all.

I bet if the poznan started in your section of the stadium you'd soon join in rather than stand there with your arms folded scowling at everyone for turning their backs on the team. You'd fear being the only one not doing it.

Anyway, the weather's good, there's football on TV, our team's future looks bright. Just lighten up ffs!

And I liked it before anyone else had even heard of it.
