MrSpaM Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 That Swansea one looked crap. Have to agree with this, they had about 20 guys doing it
Head Honcho Posted 16 May 2011 Posted 16 May 2011 Now I've never been one to take the high ground when it comes to supporting my team but fuck me that's some cringeworthy shit isn't it? You got it in one.
MORGAN Posted 17 May 2011 Author Posted 17 May 2011 and now Swansea have caught on with the ****in poznan aswell. Looks so cringeworthy on tv. Even the commentators said theres so many clubs doing it now. So many clubs doing it now. Lets be the firts club that will do this as it should be!!!!!!!
Finnegan Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 I'm neither in favour of this celebration nor against it, I honestly don't give a shit and threads about it are starting to get boring. But the rubbish about it somehow looking good in Poland and nowhere else is just... mind blowingly retarded. They might be better organized doing it but they've been doing it for years and our fans have been doing it half a season. It's not "because they're Polish."

They might be better organized doing it but they've been doing it for years and our fans have been doing it half a season. It's not "because they're Polish." Despite being slightly in favour of it I think there's still a point here (not one that anything can be done about mind). When English fans are doing it they look like gormless morons, all laughing at the fact that they're doing it and turning around to have a look what's going on. It does look a bit shit at times but maybe that's just the first time it's done. It does look mint when Man City fans get a massive lot together.
hesapeepingtom Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 **** off with this poznan shit will you! why do it? its embaressing when man city fans do it they just look like a bunch of retarded tossers! who ever is trying to get it going at the walkers i could gladly bitch slap them accross the chevy chase!
KFS Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 Celtic fans have totally disgraced it, by calling it 'The Huddle' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LW7nNFk034&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Houdini Logic Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 Is there a reason we can't do it facing forward? Original and would shut up the 'face the pitch' moaners
eye666 Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 Is there a reason we can't do it facing forward? Original and would shut up the 'face the pitch' moaners So basically "jump up if you love Leicester"...?
Houdini Logic Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 So basically "jump up if you love Leicester"...? in unison with your arms around each other
sphericalfox Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 in unison with your arms around each other The stadium would collapse that's why
Houdini Logic Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 The stadium would collapse that's why I didn't realise your weight depended on the direction you were facing...
lcfc"weasel" Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 Celtic fans have totally disgraced it, by calling it 'The Huddle' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LW7nNFk034&feature=youtube_gdata_player They've been doing it since last season, before you had even heard of a grecque, nevermind Lech Poznan.
The Padster Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 who ever is trying to get it going at the walkers i could gladly bitch slap them accross the chevy chase! Good luck.
Asha Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 I love this emerging attitude. The attitude that anyone else doing the Grecque in Britain are cunts but that somehow Leicester fans are like with Lech Poznań because they do it too; it's so, so embarrasing. If you look on YouTube, you'll see thousands of clubs doing it. Damn, that's going to the ruin the belief that Leicester fans are all revolutionary ultras, isn't it? In terms of what it actually is, a bit of fun, it's fine - but people will genuinely be upset when the time comes where every club in the football league is doing it. The main difference between us and Lech for example is that they just do the ****er. They don't worry that someone might copy and do it better, and they certainly don't make cringy T-shirt instruction guides. I think it says a lot about fans in this country that rather than just enjoying whatever one gets out of 'doing the Grecque', that not only does everybody consistently get the name wrong - but producing T-shirts? It's way too ****ing gimmicky. But that's England for you. I wonder if Lech would ever get the chance to come to Leicester and observe our fans. Would they then go back to Poznań and consistently boo their keeper, create and repeat a racist chant to a foreign midfielder, fall completely silent when behind at home and call it 'the Leicester'?

Dan Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 It is very true though. I fvcking hate the song nicking culture in England and it's actually getting rapidly worse, one set of lads see a group of fans sing something on Youtube or at the game, go onto Facebook "oryt m8 lets all do da poznan init, next home game pal wel do da poznan wil luk lyk propa mint". Try to get it going, have a few join in and then you've got another club doing it on a small scale. The way it came about was shite but in all fairness Man City are the only side in the UK that even come close to the scale we do it on, but they're actually miles ahead of us.

Fosse Boy Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 Oh cack, I've had to agree with something Asha said. Good post. Maybe there's something to be said for organised religion after all...

RowlattsFox Posted 17 May 2011 Posted 17 May 2011 I can cope with people doing it after we've scored but if we ever start doing at any random moment during the game, like Man City have started doing, then it will become embarrasing.
