It seems odd how their local rag would know, everything we've heard and read this end indicates another bid will go in sooner rather than later. If it's a hack getting excited at the lack of movement our end, he might do well to realise nothing's likely to happen till the team returns from Sweden. Maybe it does say that, but how the hell does some hack in Bristol know whether Sven has given up or not. They have probably seen us buying the likes of konchesky and linked with Routledge, and think we've spent the money on them. Lots of their fans seem a bit disheartened by his interview, I think they expected him to renounce his love for Bristol and say he wants to stay. I think you're probably right, it's not known for being spot on and likes to quote "sources within the club" or "a club spokesperson", so if there are no attributable quotes ignore it. BCFC refused to speak to that paper for some time because of all the shite it made up about the club. I'll believe it when you sign another striker, but you can do better than Ched Evans.

They are trying to get him to sign a contract, if he keeps stalling, rejecting offers etc they are going to know about it. The longer it goes on the more obvious it is that he won't sign and they will start to get very nervous. The clock is ticking.

It strikes me they are doing what that can to dampen the flames of the story, trying to get people to move on. We'll see. I'm sure we all want it resolved one way or another as quick as possible though.

Nothing worse i'm sure, than signing a deal with a new club only a matter of days before a new season starts. Plus, surely he wants to be here to face Mardrid
