Perhaps he means historically - stanley Mathhews and all that.

I used those clubs because of their recent premier league experience and that's how I see it. It wasn't meant as a dig, just that SOME on here believe you are on a par with the likes of Villa or Everton .

Thing is we we're on par if not bigger and even tho it's not recent recent its not 20 years more like 10 to 15 thats why you'll get that impression.

Just take a look at both clubs history. I couldn't care less that they spent a lot of time outside the top two leagues, they have been Champions of England, we haven't, they have won the FA Cup, we haven't and, this is the clincher, as someone said earlier, you are only as big as you were the season before? Blackpool were in the Prem last season if I remember correctly?? Basically, going by the logic you've used, your saying that if Manchester United dropped into League 1 for twenty years, we'd be a bigger club? No, of course we wouldn't.

Whats wrong with being compared to Coventry and Charlton, two recent premier league clubs?

Honestly you lot need to have a f**king word with yourselves, you sound like a right bunch of twats.

Well, for a change, I don't see our fans visiting Bristol City forums, slagging them off and comparing them to the likes of Peterborough, MK Dons or Huddersfield.

To be honest, you lot should be taking a good look into your own mirrors.

Well, until Abramovich took over, Chelsea were a nothing club, finishing in mid-table every year and had not won a league title in 50 years?? So you could argue that Forest on history are a bigger club!

Give me constant mid-table in the top tier over a few glory years any day.

I just think we need to get a sense of perspective with this whole 'size' of clubs. Leicester City are, and always will be a yo-yo club. Insignificant to most clubs, but who gives a ****! I'll support City till the day i die and couldn't care less if we were the biggest or smallest club in the world!

Do you posses a time machine?

I keep opening this thread in the hope that something has happened.

Instead I get pages and pages of discussions about who has the biggest.

I'm the biggest.

It's like a baguette.

what a weak-ass argument.

Firstly they have NEVER been champions of England... only ever the 2nd divison...... what you may be confused with is that during the war, when the first division was disbanded, they won the regional North league championship.... but even then this was with borrowed players who were drafted into the Air force as Blackpool was a major training centre for the Air force.. they won the FA cup in 1953.... well we won the league cup... twice. more recently...

Even at home to Man utd last season they couldnt get more than 15,500 in attendance. They were in the prem LAST YEAR not this year... last year...

thats such a bizarre comment to end your statement on... so if Man utd would not be smaller if they were in the 1st division for 20 years ( which i would agree with) how can you argue Blackpool are a bigger club after ONE season in the prem?!?

Sorry to piss on your parade but Blackpool have never been champions of Division 1.

1 FA cup or 3 League cups? I'll leave you to decide.

No they haven't..

they have won the FA Cup, we haven't

So have Coventry, and some public school sides from the 19th century. Does that make Eton a bigger club than Leicester? This argument is clearly absurd.

Like Swindon, Barnsley and Burnley before them, Blackpool were one-season wonders. I'd be amazed if they returned to the top flight within the next decade. We got bigger crowds in League 1 than they did in the Premier.

I think people need to define a big club.

What makes a big club are FIRSTLY its fan base and weekly attendences. There are some pretty small clubs out there which punch above their weight and some sleeping giants which perrenially under achieve.

History. What you've won and the amount of time spent in the top tier, two tiers etc.

To the guy that said about Forest being bigger than Chelsea, I hate to say it but forest are quite a big team. in terms of attendences they are a similar size to us, but beat us on history hands down.

BUT Blackpool.......FVCK OFF!!!!!!
