FoxyPV Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Dock them just enough so they definitely can't get automatic.
Ruthless Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 I don't think they'll get points deducted, just be a hefty fine, I hope not anyway, it would be unfair considering West Ham did the same some years back, and they didn't get any points deducted.
ajthefox Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Should give 'em a deduction next season. Let them go up, pretty unfair if they missed out, but just make sure they come crashing back down, Warnock leaves in a strop and everything falls apart. That sounds very appealing to me!
Bert Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Whatever the punishment is, it'll then be appealed. Could be a long drawn out process. Don't mind Warnock myself, but what goes around comes around.
Koke Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Unfair why? IMO its unfair because QPR now dont have enough time to accumulate back those points they will lose. If they wanted to deduct them points they should have done it long ago when there was enough games left so that QPR could possible make up what they have lost. Like how Crystal Palace was given a point deduction in January which gave them enough time to prepare for what is ahead. It's a double punishment for them to be honest. And thats not fair.

Well it wasn't really the same, since the rule was only bought in after the West Ham incident
adam1 Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 It was a blatant breach of the rules. QPR knew what they were doing. It has to be a points deduction. And let me ask people how can you fine them? How much would you fine them? Lets just say £200k and yet they gain millions by breaking the rules in order to help them get promoted? They should be demoted to seventh place.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Pisstaking and preparing for schadenfreude aside, every clubs knows exactly what the rules are when they start the season. How many clubs have suffered relegation or seen their promotion pushes destroyed because of the 10 point deduction for going into administration? Every club knows that's the penalty and graciously accepts it when it happens, but at least with admin a club often has little choice but to take that step. They don't choose to go into admin. QPR chose to break the rules, despite them being as aware of them of any other club. Faurlin has been an important player for them so has contributed to their promotion, a promotion that is sullied by their flouting of the rules. Let Colin throw his toys out of the pram, but his team have cheated and the points deduction must be applied either to bugger up their promotion party or to condemn them to having to battle for their ill-gotten Premiership place next season.
MPH Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 The FA or whoever should have sorted this by now. Why its dragging on I dont know, teams should know whats going on. Its not really just about the FA not getting it sorted. You can bet your bottom dollar that QPR have put every legal obsticle possible in their path....

And thats not fair. whats wrong with you today?!?! doesnt matter what time of the season the the points are docked they will still be 15-10 or whatever amount down come end of season. its pretty simple - they blatantly broke the rules. they KNEW the rules. they chose to do this purposefully and willingly knew they were breaking the rules. is there like a trolling network on thie forum or something? it seems like every now and then people take it in turns to say stupid stuff.....
Guest Bilo Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 The bookies I work at has suspended all Championship outright and promotion betting today. This usually means either a flood of money has gone on a team and a new market is being formed, or something is going on that will affect the odds. Watch this space.
The Doctor Posted 29 April 2011 Posted 29 April 2011 Hahahaha, colin will ****ing explode in a fireball of hypocrisy if this happens.
Guest ttfn Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 It's a difficult one because as an administrative error, it seems harsh to dock points. Yet conversely Torquay and Hereford were each docked points for fielding ineligible players in one match earlier this season. Faurlin has played about 40 times for QPR this season, so I guess that raises the question of - is 15 points enough? Hereford were docked 3 points for the game in which they fielded an ineligible player. By that logic, surely QPR should be docked 120 points? Obviously, it's ridiculous and would never happen, but I really don't see the difference. If they broke the rules to sign him then surely he's not eligible to have played at any point since he signed? Also, a fine isn't really appropriate either as they'll make zillions from being promoted. Even if they docked them all of their Prem money for next season, Mittal can just subsidise them enough to stay up for a season before the cash comes rolling in. It's my preference that they're given a small points deduction and a HUGE fine, but as I said above, there's no good solution here.
samjohnson Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 As Warnock should know about the rule with 3rd parties as he was "involved" with the last incident, he shouldve known. He knows that his team have broken the rules and yet he continues to play the player in question. If they are given the trophy, they have won under false pretenses as theyve played an ineligible player. Theow the book at him and deduct points. See what the hypocritical **** will do next...
Ashley Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 He wasn't in charge when the player was signed am I right? They should of fined them that season. All they will receive is a money fine.
Dames Posted 30 April 2011 Posted 30 April 2011 If you cheat and get caught you should get punished. Simple as. Would love to see Colins reaction especially after the Tevez fiasco.
Jimothy Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Warnock wasn't in charge when they signed the player, but the player has signed a new deal since he took over. Warnock will have known what type of deals all his first team squad were signed on when he joined, so he could make judgements on which ones to offer new deals, which ones where coming to the end of their contracts etc. He knew this guy was signed under a dodgy deal and kept quiet and continued to play him. QPR and Warnock deserve to have the book thrown at them.
smallpauldj Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Take enough points off them so they finish 3rd so they can smash forests chances of going up that way we see warnock and Davies crying like little girls haha
