Ozwin Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Oh god it's going to be Kevin Phillips. I can feel it in my waters.
Babylon Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Did Harewood ever play for England? (even if it was one game)
Jimothy Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Can Alan Smith still be classed as a striker? He's ex England and being let go by the Geordies.
Tom17LCFC Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Did Harewood ever play for England? (even if it was one game) Harewood's off to Notts County last I heard. Interesting day tomorrow...
sdb Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Kevin Phillips will be a very useful addition. Not my 1st choice but not a disaster by any means. It's 10 goals guaranteed. I'd rather Yak/Maynard/Kamara/Hesk but we're in the Championship, gotta be happy with Yak (if true). Surprised re: Stringer on Heskey. Surely the new Villa manager will make the call, unless Em himself has outright ruled it out.
sdb Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Alan Smith's an interesting shout. Got a feeling it'll be him actually. Not sure what to make of that. He's a dick but could add a bit of bite in the midfield (if he's still got the legs).

Phillips will probably be more 'willing' to be a squad player than Waghorn, and more likely to make an impact as a sub than him or Howard. So overall it'd probably be a decent squad signing if it happens.
Happy Fox Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Didn't the earlier tweet indicate 2 strikers and One midfielder so possibly Alan Smith http://twitter.com/#!/Fourth_Official Leicester could confirm a TRIPLE deal in the next few days, two of which are strikers #LCFC
escos Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 So is this bloke who says it's an ex England striker reliable as he seems to be the only one who isn't saying it's Yakubu and Kamara?
Brainy Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Not Heskey, but an ex England striker (which Heskey is) followed by a dotdotdot. Im guessing Heskey.
Happy Fox Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/alan-smith-specials/club-after-summer-transfer-window Alan Smith odds Leeds 2/3 West Ham 11/10 Leicester 7/2 Middlesbrough 6 Brighton 10 Southampton 10 Burnley 12 Nottingham Forest 12 Derby County 16

shiv Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 Rumours are Kevin Phillips is off to Coventry or Watford. I've heard he's off to Watford as well. He started his career with them I think.
jonw88 Posted 9 June 2011 Posted 9 June 2011 "Not Heskey" kind of means that it's NOT Heskey... Anyway, if they're all right in that we're gonna get 3 players, 2 are strikers and one is ex-England striker, that means one of Yak and Kamara isn't coming. For now anyway
