Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 They found him after looking on U-torrent, turns out his data was on there along with 77 million other PSN users.
lcfc_jme Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 If he's genuinely dead, then great, good fvcking riddance to him. Can understand why Americans would be delighted by the news as well, can't blame them for celebrating it. If I was as blindly patriotic as Americans are and was told that the man responsible for a major atrocity in my home land had been killed, I'd be partying all week, it'd be great news. Can see that there are some shady details regarding the story, though. Will be interesting to see how the story develops. I reckon that the phrase "pics or gtfo" has never been more appropriate.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Reports are suggesting this is the guy that shot Bin Laden
MC Prussian Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Images of Americans celebrating near Ground Zero on CNN? Yeah, let's celebrate big news. "It's like an out-of-body experience"... "It's such a historic moment for our country"... Well, honey, how about a brain to start with? How about 1776 for a historic moment? How about celebrating decreased personal liberties and freedoms instead? Oh no, you wouldn't possibly know about that. It's not on TV and in the papers, is it? When did we ever see Bin Laden being interviewed in person in the years leading up to September 11th? He has always been used as a phantom with his own, media-created persona to impress and instill fear in the Western World. The "death picture" is a fake - it has been floating around on the web for about three months now. It irks me that so many ordinary Americans believe what they hear and see on television and take it for granted. Fools.
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Yeah this is what struck me first, to be honest. Bit weird really. Just doesn't quite seem the appropriate response but then Americans are weird and we know that. Plus, I hate to join Alexei's negativity, but anyone who really believes that that's now the end of terrorism (as opposed to the trigger of escalation) is a complete moron. One man isn't responsible for the sustenance of an entire ideology. 2 reasons why he has been buried at sea. 1 muslim tradition. 2. they didnt want his body or burial place to become a shrine and to fuel hatred and a lightening rod to spark anti US sentiment. Sure there will be a reaction but lets face it they have been looking for targets for ages anyway. They did consult the saudi's on this but they didnt want the body because of reason number 2!! photos have been taken of his body and will be released shortly. ( this is all being said on the news over here in north carolina)

OR maybe they don't just think anybody in the media is lying 100% of the time. there is no way they'd have Obama go on tv and say he's dead if he wasn't, he ins't that popular over there and to be found lying like this could hand the white house back to Republicans. Part of the reason for a fast burrial will be to show that it isn't a war on Islam and that their traditions are respected by Americans and its just terrorists, regardless of "faith" that they are after

They could've just as well put him in an unmarked grave in the middle of nowhere.

( this is all being said on the news over here in north carolina) It really isn't. The only time this may be possible is if the person actually died at sea from drowning. Or if he died at sea as a Martyr. The body of a martyr is to be bueried or left where it died. If not it has to be an Earth buerial.

Who's going to find out in time?
Samilktray Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I think most people just listen to the media and news, and take what they say about anything as gospel.
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 fake. The yanks will keep this well under wraps. Not True. its on the news all over here that photo is a fake. Photos and footage HAVE been taken but they have not been released yet.
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Not even to secure 4 more years in office? Who's going to find out in time? al-qaeda sources have been on the news over here confirming he is dead and that they intend to make america sorry for ever killing him.
Webbo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 When did we ever see Bin Laden being interviewed in person in the years leading up to September 11th? . CBS interviewed him 1998 there was a clip played on the news this morning. It irks me that so many ordinary Americans believe what they hear and see on television and take it for granted. Fools. If only we were all intelligent like you and assumed everything was a lie without any evidence to back it up.
MC Prussian Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 al-qaeda sources have been on the news over here confirming he is dead and that they intend to make america sorry for ever killing him. Well, if this is true then god bless America. Incite even more hatred. Well done CIA, USA!
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Muslims don't really bury their dead at sea under normal circumstances. They could've just as well put him in an unmarked grave in the middle of nowhere. i should of clarified. by muslim tradition i meant that they have GOT to bury someone within 24 hours of their death. unmarked grave? someone somewhere always knows who is in an unmarked grave. bodies can be dug up and people can just congregate much more easily at a burial site on the ground.
Webbo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Well, if this is true then god bless America. Incite even more hatred. Well done CIA, USA! Because they were really fond of us before.
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Well, if this is true then god bless America. Incite even more hatred. Well done CIA, USA! so just let him get away scot free for all the people he has killed? the embassy he blew up and the other attacks that have been accredited to him? He has already vowed not to be taken alive and had instructed his body guards not to allow him to be taken alive..
ajthefox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 A lot of this is odd but one thing I really have to question is the burial within 24 hours thing. I mean really, are they going to respect Muslim tradition for someone like Bin Laden? Give me a break. If indeed he has been killed then I'm pretty sure that Al queada aren't gonna give a flying fvck about how he's buried.
zubi Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 al-qaeda sources have been on the news over here confirming he is dead and that they intend to make america sorry for ever killing him. Scare tactics to instill fear into us so that we can get behind our governments after they f'd up the economy so badly?

Annoying all of them with breaking even a simple tradition like this wouldnt be that wiise if you are trying to put a wedge between those who back terroism and those who dont.
MPH Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Scare tactics to instill fear into us so that we can get behind our governments after they f'd up the economy so badly? some people think too much. He's dead. some people won't like it. Its not rocket science.

If only we were all intelligent like you and assumed everything was a lie without any evidence to back it up. Well, where's the evidence that Osama is in fact dead? All there is is a statement by the American government, endlessly copied in the world press today. No hard questions for the US, no backup information whatsover. Yeah, right. And how come I can't find the CBS clip anywhere? And who seriously believes that dumping him into the sea will prevent Bin Laden's followers from building hundreds if not thousands of shrines in his memory?
