KFS Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Robert Ambrusics or Ricardo comma Ambrusics? I checked, it is a comma
Haydos Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I checked, it is a comma Slightly interesting then, hardly surprising though. New 1st choice keeper, Weale = Bench.
Jonezy Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Guess some of the promising youngsters weren't that promising after all.... Shame.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 how dare he release ricardo?? hes brilliant.
Jimmy Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 from OS Goalkeeper Ricardo is among 10 players that will leave Leicester City upon the completion of their existing contracts this summer. Robert Ambrusics, Ashley Chambers, Nathan Hicks, Jorrin John, Craig King, Ben Milnes, Luke O'Neill, Aman Verma and Adi Yussuf will not be offered extensions to their current deals, which expire on June 30. The Club would like to place on record its thanks to all 10 players for their hard work during their time with the Foxes and wish them well in the future. A decision on the future of Aleksandar Tunchev, whose contract is also due to expire next month, will be deferred until a later date. The Bulgarian defender has missed most of the last two years through injury, but will be invited to join the Foxes for pre-season training, having returned to action towards the end of the 2010/11 campaign.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Those 2 are a bit of a surprise, I thought the club had hopes for them. Expect a 10 page essay from Thracian as to why the club are wrong and how he had hopes of them playing for England in the next World Cup.
That lad from Japan Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Those 2 are a bit of a surprise, I thought the club had hopes for them. They had hopes for them around our time in League1. If your a yougster, you've got to be special to have a sniff of the first team at a club with money and big ambitions of premier league football. If jorrin is anything lile on fm, he has an attitude problem
sphericalfox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Ricardo was always a short term option. I've no doubt in my mind he told Sven that he wouldn't seek another year's contract with the club given the behaviour of the fans towards him. I am amused that people are instantly making the assumption that he has been released because he's 'crap'. His contract finished and hasn't been renewed. We'll be getting a new keeper, or if rumours are true another young keeper. It won't surprise me to see Weale transferred at some stage. There's going to be a big goalkeeper swap and shop in the Premiership this summer, and no doubt this will give Sven options, and certainly will make things competitive to bring in a good one. Everyone and their mother is looking for a new keeper in the CCC. Hull for example are looking for two new keepers too. As for the others released, I do hope that Sven will be bringing in more youth both locally, regionally, nationally, and perhaps even internationally, as if we are ever to compete for the Premiership, remain in the Premiership, we need a strong backbone of youth to come through. Sven is a great advocate of this type of progression, watches the youth team, and from the list above feels that it needs further improvement. I think this bodes well.
leicesterisme Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Robbie Neilson not on the list! Brentford are probably offering us money for him then!

shen Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 Shame about Chambers. He showed a lot of promise some years ago.
Soar Fox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 I thought John and Yussuf were decent prospects? Jorrin John is going to Inverness for a trial there.
sphericalfox Posted 21 May 2011 Posted 21 May 2011 And moreno? This is the list of OUT OF CONTRACT players who are free to leave. Those others mentioned are either still contracted, and will be transfferred or kept in the team. For obvious reasons I should imagine that any fee for Neilson, Moreno, Lamey, and Crncic will be welcome.
