You don't really want to have a completely new midfield do you? The lads in midfield we have at the minute blend well, placing 3 new players that haven't played together seems a bit odd.

I reckon he'd be a decent addition to the squad, not necessarily as a starter but we only have Moussa (not sure how likely he is to feature) and Oakley as back up.

And I can see what everyone is saying about Danns not being better than what we already have, but there's no harm in some healthy competition. And if there's one of those games where King goes anonymous, or Wellens is trying the hollywood pass too often, I'd love to bring Danns on.
MGLCFC Posted 30 May 2011 Posted 30 May 2011 Danns is different - he's got loads of energy and can tackle effectively. By that I mean he is good a breaking down opposition attacks. He also has pace, which is lacking in our midfield.

Tbf, it's been reasoned debate unlike some of the mush here recently which sees me go on here less. People have different views, all I can do is present my case. Difficulty facing us and I think we can all agree here is if we want real quality, forgot the fact we can offer any amount of money in wages, we have got to convince the player to join us despite Premiership interest which is going to be tough. Westwood is a prime example, we can match his wages but what challenge does he want? Curtis Davies said he just couldn't turn the Premiership down despite our ambition. So don't be surprised if the first couple of signings are from somewhere on the continent as freebies.
