Ridsdale takes huge gambles financially with the teams he controls and shows little interest in the 'What if' his ideas amount to nothing. Then he sods off sharpish and allows others to dig clubs out of the shit. You meet many similar characters in business, but with so much loyalty and sentiment in football he should never be allowed within a mile of any league club.
