Certainly looks like a great tournament I think Ryan Bertrand might be alright to look into for the left back position on loan. Depending on Tottenham's situation maybe Danny Rose would be a decent pick-up Maybe even a Josh MacEachern. Lots of names going around here about potential pick-ups. Cant say im sold on Matt Derbyshire. Maybe a low risk deal for Owen Hargreaves. Maybe similar to Tunchev might work?

1969 Posted 17 June 2011 Posted 17 June 2011 think hargreaves is crocked otherwise a player of his quality wouldnt be released? if there is a good chance of him recovering in a reasonably short time then a prem league side will snap him up. if not -worth a punt if we can get him on reasonable terms even if the odds of him recovering aren't great.

I would suggest nothing less than 30k? as talented as he is do you think it worth 1.5mil pa on a guy who averages less then 10 games a year over the last 6 years? I don't. Also I doubt he comes down to the CCC. Someone in the Premier league will take a risk on him. Someone like Wigan or Bolton.

I agree... Fergy don't usually let players go unless there's good reason... Thought this was the u21 thread though?
teblin Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 It has been said we have scouts out there. We can forget signing the Spanish players. I'd have thought there would be decent players for the Swiss, denmark, Belarus or Iceland that would fancy a move to the championship.

Aleksz Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 I have more or less watched every game of this, there is definately some talent out there. Most of the spanish players have been signed up for clubs next year, especially the ones that have stood out (Adrian has gone to At. Madrid, Didak - Espanyol). The Czech side have really caught my eye though. The goalkeeper Vaclik looks a brilliant keeper and what stood out to me was his communication with his defenders, he was giving them a right bollocking. Adam Hlousek & Vaclav Kadlec also caught my eye. Denmark have some good prospects too, particually what i saw of Mathias Jorgensen (CB, FC Kobenhavn) he's looked quality too. And obviously Xherdan Shaqiri of Switzerland but he may be out of our league

But for the Fielding part.. he's had nothing to do so i'm hardly impressed.

He panics and then opts to hoof it. Glad he's at derby!
