Brenfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 red_leicester Jonathan Paul The very latest on the Leicester City-Owen Hargreaves situation ... in tomorrow's Mercury Probably just quoting what's already been said.
ScouseFox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 When was the last time the Mercury "broke" some news? Like actual news, that's new, not that's been everywhere else at least a day before?
Guest Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 When was the last time the Mercury "broke" some news? Like actual news, that's new, not that's been everywhere else at least a day before? True but that's a fact of life for newspapers nowadays. It's amazing that they are still in business. Newspapers have to hope they can give more depth and a local angle to survive the free internet.
Nick Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 Talksport saying WBA move looks unlikely - Just waiting for a nod now from him to come to Leics. - I'm hearing pay as you play deal with big bonuses.............
Chazwaz Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 He could be amazing, but its definitely a big risk for any club. He's not really needed IMO.
Guest shearfox Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 He could be amazing, but its definitely a big risk for any club. He's not really needed IMO. Pay as you play will certainly make it less of a risk, I think we should give him a chance.
John Matrix Posted 13 July 2011 Posted 13 July 2011 if fit he be good on a pay as you pl- ahh **** it
LestaFox92 Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 if fit he be good on a pay as you pl- ahh **** it Always wondered what happend to that dog in your sig know we all know sick fvcka!
STUHILL Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Really not fussed about this one and I know people will say he will be best in division etc but much more interested in getting in a striker and a winger rather than a crocked 30 year old who may or may not stay fit
Liamlcfc1 Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Hargreaves is a no go for Sven to many injury issues.
Petchy Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 So, that's it I guess? More than likely going to retire then if even a Championship team with a former manager of his won't take the gamble.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 So, that's it I guess? More than likely going to retire then if even a Championship team with a former manager of his won't take the gamble. I wonder if a no risk 'pay as you play' contract was offered and rejected
Hack Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 I would think a 46 game season plus a number of cup games would be to much for Hargreaves. Not suggesting that he would play in all of them, but to make his signing worthwhile you would want him in the majority. The number of games would be a big concern as well as how hard games are played in the championship.
accessory Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 The squad will be rotated anyway during the course of the season. No-one would expect Hargreaves to be an ever-present, but with Danns, Abe and even Oakley as backup, we're well covered to take a risk with him.

Sickfox Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 5 live reported today that Sven said he has spoken to him, but he is unsure if he is fully fit..
Blinking Blue Owl Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 Hey Zaphod What lunacy ? ffs it was a comment nothing more or is no one else allowed to have an opinion on here ?
back2oldbrittain Posted 14 July 2011 Posted 14 July 2011 i think owen hargreaves shud be happy with a pay as u play + bonus's contract with his injury record, if he is happy and comes here then i think him and wellens will run the team.
Steve Agnew Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 On Sky Sports transfer rumours the following has been posted: Sam Rowe (Leicester City) says... was out buying new leicester away shirt when owen hargreaves pulls up with his agent with the owners waiting outside the stadium. possible signing? see: http://www.skysports.com/football/transfers/your-rumours/0,26732,16620,00.html Can anyone confirm this? There must be a few people around the ground after Real tickets too.

The Doctor Posted 16 July 2011 Posted 16 July 2011 Why would he be at the ground to sign when we're currently in sweden?
