shade Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 just seen him driving outside the king power stadium, coincidence?
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Hopefully. Agreed! Was Woodgate in the same ambulance as him?
shade Posted 6 July 2011 Author Posted 6 July 2011 Agreed! Was Woodgate in the same ambulance as him? No, but im pretty sure i saw a procession of 'no win no fee' lawyers, following him.
One Arm Babba Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I'd take him on a pay as you play deal. Absolute quality if fit.
Heskey2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Got to take your hat off to him for putting in the effort, i'd have him at City anyday, as long as we didn't give him a perm contract.
FrankieADZ Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 if we could get him on a pay as you play deal I think he would certainly add quality to the squad but if he's fully fit I can't see him coming here...even tho it would be rather nice if he would tho
Callabinho Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Wouldnt surprise me in the slightest if we offered him a pay as you play contract. But unlikely his wage demands would be astronomical.
drc Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I'm pretty sure I read that he is doing his youtube training videos in Vancouver.
surrifox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I've never quite figured out what he actually does (or perhaps it's so long since he played that I've forgotten)
Houdini Logic Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 just seen him driving outside the king power stadium, coincidence? Yep complete coincidence - he often goes fishing in the canal and is a frequent visitor to the gas museum
Kilworthfox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 He is class! Feel sorry for the guy how many injuries he has had over the past 3 seasons, however we would all love Tunch to make a comeback & get a contract, I don't see why we would not like the same for any proven quality player on a pay as u play or full contract if their fitness is proven! In contracts these days surely there can be a risk minimalising measures with players who have poor injury records? Also all players are insured against career threatening injuries, as we know with Dean Ashton.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 just seen him driving outside the king power stadium, coincidence? No you didn't <_<
Guest Col city fan Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Yep complete coincidence - he often goes fishing in the canal and is a frequent visitor to the gas museum Hehe .. I think he may be here to buy himself a little citroën from the garage over the road. With leather seats and air con as standard of course
Itsthejoeker Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Yep complete coincidence - he often goes fishing in the canal and is a frequent visitor to the gas museum Stopping for a pint in the half time orange
cc_star Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Andy Johnson Jonathon Woodgate & Owen Hargreaves... I'll leave you to write your own punchline Does anyone know if Darren Anderton can still kick a ball, lets have a look at him too
80footgiraffe Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Really? If true then yeah, would take him over woodgate on the injury prone players.
Rhysm Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I'd take him on a pay as you play deal. Absolute quality if fit. Do players really accept "pay as you play deals"? I can't really recall that many as it is not just fitness that would determine whether the player played. It would be fairly harsh if the player was fit and able to play but not selected so not paid. Maybe pay as you train would be fairer! The norm seems to be a short term 6 month to 1 year contract with option of an extension. I think we can afford 1 or 2 of these as long as we have sufficent back up for when they are inevitably on the treatment table.
Bert Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Not heard anything on this, and I'd personally say it's a non-starter. We've got 5 central midfielders and Hargreaves would command a decent wage. Sven's being cautious on Tunch, Hargreaves injury record is miles worse than Tunch. This is a player that lasted just four minutes after his latest comeback.

Bert, Seeing as you mentioned Tunch and Sven. What is the current position for him at the club, is there a real chance he could be in the rotation?
Jimmy Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Bert, Seeing as you mentioned Tunch and Sven. What is the current position for him at the club, is there a real chance he could be in the rotation? Sven said in May if he proved his fitness he'd get a new contract, if he offers him a contract he'd obviously be wanting to play him at some point
